Can you find out how long it usually takes to evacuate the school?
On average it takes about 5-6 minutes to evacuate the school when a fire happens.
What are the schools evacuation procedures, for example are pupils registered where do they line up?
When the school fire alarm goes off, all pupils and members of staff in school evacuate to the bottom playground where the pupils line up in tutor groups and the teachers register them via tutor groups. The pupils are kept on the bottom playground until it is signed off that is safe to enter back into the school. There was a fire in the boys toilets which used to be situated in the link opposite the new boys toilets. It was caused by a pupil lighting a fire which could be seen as arson.
Have there been any recorded fires in the school, if so what happened?
Are the emergency services contacted automatically or does a member of staff need to phone the emergency services?
The emergency services are always contacted straight away as if there is a genuine fire you cant take no chances with it so they are called straight immediately. When smoke comes

Did you find any fire safety hazards in the school, if so where are they and what do they consist of? 3. 4. How could these fire safety hazards be remedied? 2. 3. 4. Overall how safe from a fire accident do you think the school is?
1. Make sure that the fire exits can be opened at all times.
I think this school is quite safe from a fire accident but it is defiantly quite possible one could happen also.
