1. OBJECTIVE
This specification defined the minimum requirement but not limited to design, fabrication, inspection, checking, testing and preparation for delivery of FRP tank.

2. REFERENCE STANDARDS
BS EN 13121-3- GRP tanks and vessels for use above ground. 3. TERMS USED
Contractor the organization performing the design, fabrication and testing of FRP tank. Manufacturer the organization supplying the materials for fabricating the FRP tank. Purchaser the organization given work instruction or purchase order for designing, fabrication and testing of FRP tank. Laminator the skilled workman of contractor who has undergone training and is competent to perform the fabrication work for FRP tank. Standard the governing document used for designing, fabrication and testing of FRP tank.

4. DESIGN DATA
The detail design data required for designing shall refer to 22OP00604-MA-0007- General Arrangement Resin Hopper Tank The contractor is responsible for producing engineering calculation, fabrication and testing procedures. All procedures and calculation shall submit to purchaser for review. The drilling of flanges shall conform to ASME B 16.5, 150 pound raised face flange. The base plate of support leg shall be drill as per calculated data. The lifting lug shall be designed as per calculated data.

5. DOCUMENT SUBMISSION
The following documents but not limited to shall be submitted; Material conformity certificates Design calculations Fabrication drawings ITP ( inspection test plan) Inspection of work documents relating to the control and issue of materials, resin mixing etc. Laminating procedures Defect repair procedures Tests for laminator Testing procedures Name plate details Certificate of conformity upon completion stating the design, construction and testing complies with applicable standard.

6. MATERIAL
The material shall conform to : 22OP-00604-MA-0007- General Arrangement Resin Hopper Tank It is the responsibility of contractor to store and used materials as per manufacturer instructions. Any steel incorporated in the design and fabrication of FRP tank shall conform to ASTM A36 or higher grade.

7. FABRICATION
Contractor shall submit all required documents and get approval before proceeding with any work. The contractor shall submit all original material documents procured for the work and all material procured shall be inspected. The manufacturing process shall be under controlled environmental compatible with producing a satisfactory tank. (i.e. the control of temperature, humidity, air movement and light) The contractor shall strictly follow the procedures submitted to the purchaser at all time and follow the manufacturers recommendation. Laminators shall be familiar with the resin systems used by the manufacturer and familiar with the details of the lay-up required for different features used in the fabrication of FRP tank. All laminators shall be certified in accordance with the standard. The permissible limits for laminate defects shall be as per BS 4994:1987- Specification for design and construction of vessels and tanks in reinforced plastics Section 4, 27.2, table 16. The drilling of flanges shall conform to ASME B 16.5, 150 pound raised face flange.
