Innovative Education for the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
9-12-2011 UNESCO convened the 15th UNESCO-APEID International Conference, Inspiring Education: Creativity and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the World Bank and the Ministry of National Education in Indonesia, to foster discussions on creativity and entrepreneurship, and strengthen their linkages in education and the workplace.

HIV Seminar Conducted for up to 700 UNTL Students in Timor-Leste in Celebration of the World AIDS Day 2011
7-12-2011 A three-day international scientific conference attended by National University of Timor-Leste (UNTL) students held on 14-16 November 2011 was organized at the Dili Convention Center in Dili, Timor-Leste. The activity dubbed in Portuguese as the 1 Jornada Cientificas Internacionais do Estudante da UNTL (1st International Scientific Working Day for UNTL Students) tackled a wide range of topics relevant to the theme of the conference which was Timor-Leste, your future and present in the eyes of the UNTL students, the first of its kind organized by this university. Worldwide online-seminar explored green societies


5-12-2011 UNESCO, SOI-Asia, INHERENT and CONNECT-Asia organized an online seminar hosted by Directorate General of Higher Education, Indonesia (DIKTI) about building green societies on Friday, 25th November 2011. The seminar connected prominent experts in their fields and participants world-wide through National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) and other ICT networks.

This book is the result of the national workshop promoting SIDS and LINKS programmes in Timor Leste held in Dili, Timor Leste, on 7-8 June 2011. The workshop was organized by the Haburas Foundation, Timor Leste National Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Regional Science Bureau for Asia and the Pacific in Jakarta. The objective of this meeting was to develop a strategy to address issues such as those mentioned above, and an action plan for implementing activities under UNESCOs SIDS and Local and Indigenous Knowledge System (LINKS) programmes for the period 2012-2013.
