A Celebration of Conscious Action

~ The Vision Moonifest ~ The Million Women Drummers Gathering 2013 is an authentically inspired, multi-faceted, collective intention to activate, appreciate and celebrate our relationship with drums, our women's drumming traditions worldwide, our relationship and responsibility to the sustainability of Earths Trees that become our drums and other wooden instruments. We will accomplish this by cultivating a new mindful relationship with Earth's Trees and by simply planting a single Tree.

A Tree grows, a seed is dropped, and another Tree grows. A woman wants her drum. A Tree is cut.
She plants a Tree. A Tree grows, a seed is dropped, another Tree grows, and another woman wants her drum. She plants a Tree another Tree grows and another generation wants her drum . U.Hill ONE WOMAN and girl who have ONE DRUM can plant ONE TREE. Beginning in 2011, The Million Women Drummers Gathering 2013 will initiate a series of local and global drumming and Tree planting events and celebrations in the name of love for our drums, womens drumming traditions, and in appreciation of the gift of Trees from our Beloved Planet Earth. We are affirming that as women drummers we hold sacred our relationship to Trees and our Drums. Inspiring and motivating women's leadership with the cultivation of community projects and events that combine drumming and Tree planting. Imagine one million women drummers, drumming and planting one million Trees in cities, towns, neighborhoods and villages honoring and celebrating women's drumming and our planetary kinship to all of our relations, as this is what the heart of drumming teaches us all. Women drummers worldwide will gather in creative collaboration and partnerships within local communities in their cities, towns, neighborhoods and villages to replenish their environments by planting Trees where needed and desired. We will replenish our private and public environments with Trees to maintain clean air, create natural beauty, support a healthy sustainable environment, set an example, create new traditions and to put forth a clear intentional message of love, respect and gratitude from our hearts and hands to all of our relations. Locally, we will joyfully celebrate a renewed conscious awareness of our integral connection to the pulse of the rhythms of nature and our creative leadership ability to sustain Trees in our local communities for the health and wellness of our minds, bodies and the community spirit. With education, information, collaborations and partnerships, The Million Women Drummers Gathering 2013 global gathering and the local events leading up to it, will increase individual and community awareness and sensitivity in regard to the use of Earths Trees for making wooden drums and other musical instruments. To promote and support mindful responsible accountability, we will initiate the conversation and cultivate sustainable community partnerships by networking with local and international drum and dance groups, environmental organizations, schools, youth and elder programs, businesses, healthcare and wellness centers, manufactures, artists, musicians and crafters. Together we will explore alternative resources, technologies and innovative recycling options for making quality drums and musical instruments with sustainable natural resources. We will learn how we can shift attitudes and practices to be in supportive rhythmic alignment with natures cycles, to nurture and to support the delicate balance of Earths living Trees with making our drums and the musical instruments that we love to play, the music we love to listen to and to dance to.

In 2013 One Million Women who love drums and who love and appreciate Earths Trees will unite and gather in one place with friends and allies to celebrate our accomplishments and to set a new mindful model of sustainability. We will proclaim our public commitment to mindful accountability to present and future drummers and to living with a new paradigm that nurtures and supports the delicate balance of our living Trees and creating musical instruments made of them. With our drums, our voices, our art, our dance, and with our accumulated ancient and contemporary wisdom and knowledge, we will activate and illuminate the collective intention of our hearts with our hands. We will make known to the world that women drummers worldwide will take leadership responsibility for assuring our children that there will be enough healthy Trees for drums for the next generations of drummers to come by making a conscious commitment to being mindful planetary stewards, tending and befriending our Earths Trees. We accept that this is the responsibility of each woman drummer, of all drummers wherever we are in the world. We will celebrate our renewed and united commitment to cultivating, inspiring and initiating new womens drumming mythologies and traditions while preserving, nurturing and sustaining our ancestors drumming lineage. As well as, supporting, strengthening and sustaining local and global women's drumming businesses, artists, musicians, the instruments we build and the music we create. Participation in the Million Women Drummers Gathering 2013 local events and celebrations will inspire, motivate and encourage all who drum and their local communities to create and participate in on going positive, local and global environmental awareness initiatives and programs, resources, creative activities and drumming with Tree planting events for all ages and all members of the community. The Million Women Drummers Gathering 2013 initiative will also include global Drum-vocal-dance chorus, 2 Day Summit, Key Note Speakers, Honoring Drum Elders and Earth Stewards, drum circle jams, workshops, concerts and parades. This multi-cultural, intergenerational global gathering of a million women drummers with friends and partners who care about Trees and the environment will be historically recognized for our powerful, uplifting, conscious action and for our collective accomplishments in the history of the world, for ages to come. Through this historic gathering and the local events, we are creating a positive cultural and environmental impact rooted in unity, respect and in harmony with all of our relations, grounded in women's drumming traditions wherever we are in the world of rhythm! We all feel the vibration of our connection with all of our Earths relations. The continuity of this consciousness is becoming more and more apparent to many of us. Through the practice of mindfulness, the sacredness of life will always be acknowledged, intimately recognized, nurtured and deeply appreciated. As a result, all will benefit for generations to come from one womans single conscious action of planting One Tree with a global drumming community.

One million women drumming together all over the world. One million women drummers planting one million trees in cities, towns, neighborhoods and villages worldwide. Women drummers gathering in one place to celebrate our accomplishments and to set a new mindful model of sustainability. Honoring Women's Drumming in celebrations worldwide. Affirming that as women drummers we hold sacred our relationship to Trees and Drums. Inspiring and motivating women's leadership with the cultivation of community projects and events that combine drumming and Tree planting. Inspiring and initiating new womens drumming mythologies and traditions while preserving our ancestors lineage. Supporting, strengthening and sustaining our local and global women's drumming traditions, the instruments we build and the music we create. Increasing community awareness and sensitivity regarding how Trees are used for making our instruments through education, local and global creative collaborations and partnerships. Exploring creative options in green sustainable technologies for making quality drums and other wooden musical instruments. Creating sustainable community partnerships. Networking with local and international drum and dance groups, environmental organizations, youth and elder programs, businesses, healthcare and wellness centers and with artists and musicians. The positive transformative power of the Million Women Drummers Gathering in 2013 worldwide with a united voice to celebrate Earth's Trees and women's multi-cultural drumming traditions now and into the future. Through this historic gathering and the local events, we are creating a positive cultural and environmental impact rooted in unity, respect and in harmony with all of our relations, grounded in women's drumming traditions wherever we are in the world of rhythm! Highlights: Global Gatherings, Local Events, Guinness World Record, Drum-Vocal-Dance Chorus, 2 Day Conference, Key Note Speakers, Honoring the Elders, Drum Circle Jams, Workshops, Concerts.
