My Future Plan of Life

Why do people plan? Most people plan for tomorrow, next month, and next year so on. There is a saying that Life is what happens while you are busy planning other things. Dwight D. Eisenhower, a former US president said, In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable. If life does not go as we planned and plans seem useless in battle, why is planning still important? The author of The Little Prince, Saint-Exupery suggests the answer. He said, A goal without a plan is just a wish. I think planning is like drawing a map that guides us to the destination we seek. Once we have a map, it will be easier and more efficient to find the way we should take. Also, the map would lessen the risk of getting lost in our long journey of life. In this essay, I describe how I constructed my map.

There are countless jobs and professions in this world. Some people want to become doctors, engineers, scientists while some dream to become educationists, while for others politics holds great attraction. A few are lured to pursue their career in anti-social activities. There are people who have a craze to become poets, writers and novelists. To say, different people, different choices.

So among those, how am I going to choose the right one? How can I know what the best one, which fits my talents, characters and nature, is? The answer is in the very question. In order to find the best profession for me, I should know myself my talents, character and nature first.

I am highly ambitious man and also modest by nature. I am God loving and fearing, I love my country and my fellow countrymen, I also have high regard for morality and have excellent leadership skills. Above all I have no tendencies to corrupt even a single cent. That is why I want to be a good, successful politician in my life who will see himself as a servant to the lowest in society while checking the power of the highest. I want to be a politician because Bangladesh is a democratic country which cannot survive without politics or politicians. But as a matter of fact it lacks good politicians so we are still struggling to establish good Governance which could contribute to overall

development of our country. Since independence, the attainment of good governance has been a far cry. As a result a number of constraints and challenges stand as barriers for the development of our country and its people. Corruption, centralization of authority, Elitism, Politicization, violation of human rights, lack of freedom, weak legislature, poorly performing Institutions, lack of peoples participation in political issues, volatile political culture have affected us greatly. So we need young leaders who are more capable of leading capacity with high graduation who will be able to lead us by his honesty and morality

Being a successful politician is not easy. It requires a lot of hard work and a thick skin but most important of all is proper education. No doubt education makes a man broad minded, enhance his personality and groom him. This is education which makes a man thoughtful. So first of all I need to be well educated. For this after completing H.S.C I will get into a university and take political science as my subject because this degree will help me to understanding the government and society how people, ideas and institutions interact and what the effect is. It's a subject full of drama I will study the rise and fall of leaders and political parties, and the power play between nations. I will also be able to examine the ideas of freedom, democracy and human rights. I will touch on ideologies, such as communism and fascism, as well as party politics, electoral behavior, and protest and revolution. After completing graduation I will pick up a political party. One cannot be on both sides of the fence if he is a politician. So I have to choose mine. The main parties in Bangladesh are Awami League and BNP. We also have Jatio Party, LDP and numerous other political parties. I will learn all I can about each side before choosing the one that I can get behind wholeheartedly. It's not like sports, where one can merely trade a teammate. Loyalty to own political party is a must.

Then I will find a mentor within my party. Going into politics blindly is not a smart idea but asking a politician I particularly admire for some guidance and mentoring is not a bad idea. I will always be sincere in my letter, and always tell the truth.

I will volunteer for my political party at first to get to know the ins and outs. I must sure to vocalize my goal of becoming a politician myself when people ask me about my interests. I will never just blurt it out to a superior, though. Overzealous networking can

kill a reputation--and career! I will be friendly and available, and try to make people come to me. I will make sure to work very hard on every task given when volunteering.

Politicians are scrutinized at a level above and beyond that of the normal citizen. A promising political career may ended over scandals involving drug abuse, infidelity, dishonesty, or even simple tax errors or speaking blunders. So I must strive to keep myself and my record as clean as possible to avoid giving an opponent fodder for a future campaign attack and not to ruin my career.

Obtaining the strongest credentials and background in politics possible is a great start, but eventually I will likely have to throw my hat in the ring and actually run for office. Most politicians get their jobs by being voted in, so how and when to go about establishing that first election campaign is crucial. Deciding when to run can be hard for even the most seasoned veterans, so I have keep a sharp eye out for the perfect opportunity at either the state or local level. If I am elected I will try in every possible ways to fulfill my obligations to the common people. I will always remind that I only hold the office of the aggregate of the will of the voters My first priority would be to return to the masses in all fairness all that they had done for me. They had given me prestige, love, and a lot of regard, in the expectation of my looking after their small, day to day interests. My first target would be the perks of politicians for, in my view, all the perks that go with the position of the politicians are just too much for them to consume, and this leads to the misuse of the perks and privileges. Moreover, I would understand that, a poor country like Bangladesh can ill afford such indulgence for a handful of its people at the cost of the prosperity of the masses. My first work as a politician would be to attack the perks that are given on a platter to the politicians who represent a poor country. The priority to be next tackled by me would be my avenue of work. I would go and spend much of the time of each year in my constituency. This I would do as, I realize that, it is these people who have voted for me and given me the gift of this position, and it is these people who deserve my full support.

My next sphere of activity would be to keep away as for as possible from the community of criminals that would then allow me to work honestly. I would try my best to stay away from criminals and their clan, and avoid playing into their clutches. This is because I realize that, once the politician gets into the labyrinth of criminals, the hold becomes a dangerous combination of the criminal and the politician. With these three priorities in my mind as a politician, I would serve my country to the best of my capacity. I would never forget to serve the people who helped me to this elevated position of a politician. With this attitude I am sure, I would get through the election again and again, for, if I serve truly and honestly no one would ever stand a chance of fighting an election against me. This is because I would be serving my people and they would never leave me for anyone else.

I really feel that if politicians in our country are of good stuff honest, devoted, and sincere there could be no power in stem the progress of this country. This is because this highest rung of the ladder has to be of good quality ant safe, in order to allow other rungs to work with efficiency. Thats why I want to be a true politician to contribute to the society.
