Energy Usage:

For staff

Ensure that any electrical gadgets are switched off when not required.

In the offices all lights will be switched off when not required. Use daylights to the maximum extent. Use "task lighting" rather than lighting the whole room unnecessarily for work.

Keep your printer turned off using the switch on the printer, when not in use.

Turn off your computer/ monitor when idle. Do not keep any machine in idle running conditions. Ensure that maintenance of machines & equipment is being carried out from time to time.

Water usage
1. 2. Remember, Water is precious; use it judiciously and only as required. If you find a tap running unnecessarily/ leaking, close it every drop is precious. 3. Check all the valves, joints, taps, pumps etc. leakages/ problems should be done regularly and rectify it at the earliest. 4. 5. 6. 7. Ensure that there is no overflowing from tanks / reservoirs. Mop floors with wet cloth instead of washing with water. Control the flow rate of valves / water in toilets & taps while usage. Clean utensils, cups & dishes etc. with minimum quantity of water; soak it in water for some time before washing. 8. While cleaning of the empty containers, drums etc. ensure that minimum quantity is used; take care there is minimum spillage and no unnecessary

Fuel: 1. Do not run the engine without any load 2. Measure the efficiency of engine by regular monitoring of fuel consumption and output generated. 3. Avoid spill and leak during handling and storage of fuel 4. Keep the fuel away from fire and electrical panes and supply 5. Efficient maintenance of engine would result high fuel efficiency. 6. Measure, Record, Monitor and take necessary action as per fuel conservation initiative. 7. Use Office transportation for official work 8. Use Metro transportation in daily routine, if possible. 9. Group usage vehicle is best option instead of individual transport. Paper: Reduce Paper Consumption 1. Use email for communication to the extent possible. 2. Avoid draft prints to the extent possible. 3. Check the printer and page settings before taking any printout. 4. Make use of both sides of paper for taking printouts 5. Make use of both sides of writing pads. Reuse Paper 1. 2. Reuse one-sided used papers for rough work. Place one side printed papers on papers reuse tray.

Recycle Paper I. II. III. Throw waste paper in the waste paper baskets only. Destroy paper through shredding if confidential & collect in waste paper baskets. Collect Magazines, Newspapers at identified location and sale them for further recycling and reuse.
