GLOBALISATION according to me globalisation upto to certain extent is fine as it helps a developing country like ours, but on the other

r hand too much globalisation can also hamper the growth of the indian companies & also to some extent could exploit the resorces. The advantages and disadvantages of globalization have been debated and scrutinized heavily in recent years. Proponents of globalization say that it helps developing nations "catch up" to industrialized nations much faster through increased employment and technological advances. Critics of globalization say that it weakens national sovereignty and allows rich nations to ship domestic jobs overseas where labor is much cheaper. I feel globalisation is a case to screw up the developing countries. The developed countries get cheap labour, make better products, gain on economies of scale , and sell the product cheaper than the local markets. This way, they give more salaries than usual to the working class, give better products at better prices to individuals. But we forget that we are getting enslaved by them, smaller companies are loosing out and more and more people are working under MNC's . The barrier between the rich and the poor increases and the local economy goes into depression gradually. I think, to some extent globalization is good because under-developed nation starts developing, it maintains good economic relation with other countries, employment oppurtunities are there, aftter enterance of differnt MNC's Infrastructure also develops. Globalization is also bad because of this we get the cheap and bad quality prducts like chinese products and also degraded products like 'kellogs' which are banned in US. Because of MNC's only Indian companies have to face problems of cost-cutting, haevy competition etc.... So Globalization is a Boon as well as bane definitely globalisation is a boom if it would not have been it would have been not possible for me to reply the post which u have sent while sitting here...it's a gift of globalisation only...but if we look at the other side of it ..we will find farmers suicides...due to technical advancements and cheaper crops avialable from imports... chinese goods flooding indian markets and causing a middle class trader a great loss ... but overall i fell it has given us more than it has taken back from us Globalisation is power. It helps the under developed countries a chance to get along with the delveloped countried to come together and work. Along with this opportunity the end consumer get an advantage of the choices and the prices for the end product. Globalisation has aslo diluted the borders and the distance across countries for the best talent to come upwards. It has been a boon for the talent. Globalisation is definitely a boon and although it has its negative effects too ,those are negated by its overall contribution . Today at the tip of my finger i can communicate and send important and relevant data over to the opposite end of the world through the internet at a relatively priced cost . Companies can have its various functional departments in different countries and sell the final developed product in some other country. Thus getting the best resources from different parts of the world at the most optimum price to develop high quality products ,thus satisfying customers

needs . This world has become such a small place due to globalization and liberalization. Bane The negative effects of globalization * Opponents of globalization point out to its negative effects. Some of them are listed below. Developed nations have outsourced manufacturing and white collar jobs. That means less jobs for their people. This has happened because manufacturing work is outsourced to developing nations like China where the cost of manufacturing goods and wages are lower. Programmers, editors, scientists and accountants have lost their jobs due to outsourcing to cheaper locations like India. * Globalization has led to exploitation of labor. Prisoners and child workers are used to work in inhumane conditions. Safety standards are ignored to produce cheap goods. * Job insecurity. Earlier people had stable, permanent jobs. Now people live in constant dread of losing their jobs to competition. Increased job competition has led to reduction in wages and consequently lower standards of living. * Terrorists have access to sophisticated weapons enhancing their ability to inflict damage. Terrorists use the Internet for communicating among themselves. * Companies have set up industries causing pollution in countries with poor regulation of pollution. * Fast food chains like McDonalds and KFC are spreading in the developing world. People are consuming more junk food from these joints which has an adverse impact on their health. * The benefits of globalization is not universal. The rich are getting richer and the poor are becoming poorer. * Bad apects of foreign cultures are affecting the local cultures through TV and the Internet. * Enemy nations can spread propaganda through the Internet. * Deadly diseases like HIV/AIDS are being spread by travellers to the remotest corners of the globe. * Local industries are being taken over by foreign multinationals. * The increase in prices has reduced the governments ability to sustain social welfare schemes in developed countries. * There is increase in human trafficking. * Multinatonal Companies and corporations which were previously restricted to commercial activities are increasingly influencing political decisions. Globalization creates a trend in where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. In this sense, it would be a bane to the poorer section of developing countries. However, thanks to globalization, large companies from developed countries move overseas for cheaper labor therefore bringing jobs to developing countries. This, however, creates a sort of economical imbalance in the developing countries. Overall, I would have to say it is a bane. there are some disadvantages 1.Poorer countries suffering disadvantages: ie the countries which are poorer becomes poor and countries which are rich becomes more rich. small and poor countries mostly have the agriculture as the main exports and this due to globalization (EU) lowers the price of the crops 2.The shift to outsourcing: The low cost of offshore workers have enticed corporations to buy goods and services from foreign countries. The laid off manufacturing sector workers are forced into the service sector where wages and benefits are low, but turnover is high.
