BIW Project Title: BSO- Body side outer, Creation of GD&T Drawing and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Points for Body Side Outer, Inner and Reinforcement
Description:

This structural panel (the body side outer) comprised of a roof ring profile, A pillar, B pillar, C Pillar, a rocker panel, and a rear quarter panel. It is one of the largest and most complex structural panel designs in the vehicle The roof inner panel is a structural member that supports the outer roof panel and ties into the body side outer panel The pillars are the vertical members that support the side of the vehicle, roof, underbody, windshield, and doors Input received from the customer is in the form of CAD data and reference drawing. Understanding the ASME Y14.5-2009 Standards. Road map is having the CMM points which is used in assembly Locating CMM points in Product wise as well as in assembly wise.

Working and Product knowledge on BIW (Body in white). Good knowledge in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance). Knowledge in Tolerance stacks up analysis. Responsible for all engineering activities on the BIW The building in NX 7.5 compositions of the BIW The components / assemblies in fully capture specifications, CAD models / assemblies and 2D production Drawings Development and validation of reinforcement brackets PDM management and up to date on the BIW CAD data Managing the various BIW parts lists in the PDM system The reporting of project progress The correct processing of project data in the PDM system
