Mahatma Gandhi: He was born on October 2nd 1869 in Porbandar, India. He was the leader of Indian nationalism in British ruled India. Employing nonviolent civil disobedience, Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for nonviolence, civil rights and freedom across the world. Gandhi died on January 30th 1948, when he was shot while he was walking to a platform from which he was to address a prayer meeting. The Beatles: They were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960 and one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts in the history of popular music. The band toured extensively around the world until August 1966, when they performed their final commercial concert. After their break-up in 1970, the ex-Beatles each found success in individual musical careers. John Lennon was murdered in 1980, and George Harrison died of cancer in 2001. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr remain active.

Violeta Parra: She was a Chilean composer, songwriter, folklorist and visual artist. She set the basis for "Chilean' New Song", La Nueva Cancin chilena, a reinvention of Chilean folk music. She was born in San Carlos, province of uble, on October 4th 1917. She wrote songs that are still popular all around the world, for example, Gracias a la vida, La Jardinera and Volver a los diecisiete. Violeta Parra died in 1967 when she committed suicide. 2.
