Conducting Lesson in Educational CD According to our main purpose of making an educational CD for standard five students (in English

subject), we have the objectives to make the students achieve the best level they can in these four aspects which are speaking, writing, reading and listening. The students will be teach to master in these four aspects in a few ways.

In order to make the students understand the lesson provided for speaking element, we need to focus on the instruction first. The instruction given will be in a simple sentence structure using basic grammar. In the lesson, short stories with pictures and animation video will be played to grab the students attention as the standard five students are just eleven years old so they are more interested in animation. We will shift the stories and videos part accordingly to make it easier to be read. After finishing the lesson, if the students were asked to retell the whole stories, it will eventually improve the students skill in speaking and enhance their vocabulary.

For writing, we want the students to improve specifically in grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure aspects. We will give them short passages mostly about their home, school and daily activities environment so they can adapt on how to build the sentence. After they have finished reading those passages, we will give them ample of other passages with sentence structures and grammar rules that are alike so they can choose which of the passages have the correct sentence structure arrangement and the right grammar rules. When completing their essays in class later, they will find it easy to write an essay with less grammatical error.

Reading is also one of the aspects that we want the students to master in. In the lesson, the students will be given lists of words that are similar in pronunciation. The audio in the CD will show how to pronounce it correctly, one by one. At the end of the lesson, students should have the ability to distinguish on the difference in pronunciation of the different words with similar sound like seat/sit. In addition, students will be able to pronounce English words fluently.

Lastly for the listening part, the students will go through sound clips with a speaker telling them stories. Instruction will be given to them to listen closely and carefully to the audio. Practice that the students need to complete later on will be based on the audio. This is to help the students be more vigilant on each of the words someone is uttering. Hence, students will be able to identify differences in homophones.
