Blue Mosque The Sultan Ahmed Mosque was built in 1616 during the rule of Ahmed the Ottoman Sultan. The mosque is known as The Blue Mosque due to the over 20,000 blue tiles gracing the interior. Grand Bazaar The Grand Bazaar is one of the biggest covered markets in the world. The construction started in 1455, only 2 years after the conquest of Istanbul by the Ottomans, and took 6 years to be completed. The bazaar has 64 streets, 22 gates and over 3,400 shops. A wide range of products are on sale at the bazaar including jewelry, pottery, spice, carpets, accessories and clothing. Location: Beyazt
Dolmabahce Palace Dolmabahce Palace, located on the European shore of the Bosphorus, was built in 1856 with the directive of Sultan Abdulmecid. The palace served as the primary administrative center for the Ottoman Empire during its final years of rule. Dolmabahce Palace is now an open public museum. Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey spent the last days of his medical treatment in the palace. The room he died on November 10th, 1938 is now a part of the museum. Location: Besiktas
Taksim Square Taksim Square is an important destination for tourists as well as native Istanbul population. Istiklal Street, a long pedestrian street originating from Taksim square, is a major attraction point with great number of historical buildings, restaurants, shops, bars and pubs. Esenboga International Airport (ESB) and Izmir Adnan Menderes International Terminal (ADB) through which 8.5 million and 2.5 million passengers travelled in 2011 respectively. In the country of Georgia, TAV Airports operates Tblisi International Airport (TBS) and Batumi International Airport (BUS) through which almost 1.2 million passengers travelled in 2011. In Tunisia, TAV Airports operates Monastir (MIR) and Enfidha-Hammamet International Airports (NBE) through which 2.3 million passengers travelled in 2011. Skopje (SKP) and Ohrid (OHD) International Airports in Macedonia served to 840,000
passengers in 2011. In total, TAV Airports served 53 million passengers and over 450,000 flights by more than 300 airline companies at its 10 airports in 2011. In 2011, TAV Airports expanded its business portfolio by winning the tenders for building and operating the domestic terminal of Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport in Turkey and the Madinah Airport in Saudi Arabia. Operations in Izmir domestic terminal commenced on January 2, 2012 and Madinah operation will be taken over in the first half of 2012.

1997 TAV was founded and it was awarded the tender for the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. TAV IT was founded and the information technology 1999 ATU, which was established as a TAV Airports venture to provide duty free shopping services, was incorporated into the TAV corporate structure. TAV was awarded the tender for the Tbilisi International BTA, which provides food and beverage services, was established. 2006 2000 TAV began operating the Istanbul Ataturk Airport International Terminal. 2001 Primeclass CIP Service was launched. 2004 BTA began operating the Istanbul International Airport Hotel. TAV started construction and operation of the Esenboga Airport Domestic and International Terminals. TAV Operations Services was founded. 2005 TAV Airports was awarded the tender to operate the Ataturk Airport International and Domestic Terminal Buildings, Parking Garage and General Aviation Terminal for 15 and a half years.

TAV Airports was awarded the tender for the Monastir Habib Bourguiba and Enfidha-Hammamet International Airports in Tunisia. 40% minority shares of Havas were acquired. Havas became a wholly-owned subsidiary of TAV Airports. TAV Airports became 100% owner of TAV Izmir and TAV Esenboga. TAV Airports was awarded the tender for the operation of the Antalya Gazipasa Airport. The Hopa Terminal operated by Havas commenced service.
2009 TAV Airports increased its issued capital by TL 121 million. TAV Gazipasa started operating at the Antalya / Gazipasa Airport. The Enfidha-Hammamet Airport investment was completed. IFC (International Finance Corporation), a World Bank establishment, acquired a 15% equity stake in TAV Tunisie. 2010 TAV Airports started operating Macedonias Skopje and Ohrid airports.
