The following controls will help you get the most out of your Audio Conference. These controls are easy to use, and can simply be turned on/off by pressing the corresponding buttons on your tone-enabled phones. These controls have been divided into 3 parts depending on who is initiating them Chairperson & Participant controls, Participant controls and Chairperson controls.

Chairperson and Participant controls


Feature Operator Assistance Playback Start Playback Stop Mute On/Off What it does Allows you to seek help from the Conference Coordinator, during the conference. Allows a Participant to listen to a previous conference that they may have missed or not attended. Stop the Playback and return to main conference Participants can place themselves in a listen only mode. Plays roster of all individuals in the conference. (Must be activated before start of conference, so that Participants speak their name before they are allowed into the conference). The voice roster then plays back each name when the roll call service is asked for. Instructions * and 0 * and 2 followed by * and 2 * and 2 followed by * and 1 * and 6^

Feature Q&A

What it does Allows Participants to place themselves in a queue if they want to ask a question. The Conference Coordinator then brings in the Participant one by one, on a first-in-line basis. The Conference Coordinator prepares a set of polling tags, on the basis of a question asked by the Chairperson. A number is assigned to each tag and the Participant responds by pressing the preset number. The results are compiled and tabulated and presented at the end of the conference.

Feature

What it does Allows the Chairperson to use an available bridge line to dial-out. It temporarily pulls the Chairperson out of the conference to dial-out to a new person.

Bring in a Participant

Returns the Chairperson and the new person, now a Participant, into the conference.

Disconnect Participant

Allows the Chairperson to disconnect the new person without bringing him/ her into the conference.

Recording Start/ Stop

Chairperson can keep a record of a portion or the whole conference for transcription or for preparing minutes. In case you want to Playback your recorded conference, pleas e use your Conference Confirmation number as the Record code when prompted for the same by the IVR

Secure Mode

Secures a conference by locking out the Conference Coordinator, and also prevents any Participants from dialing in.

Lecture Mode ON Lecture Mode OFF

Mutes all participant lines and turns the conference into Lecture mode Unmutes all participant lines The conference ends when the Chairperson hangs up, ensuring that there is no additional communication/ discussion. For this a prior intimation has to be given to the Conference Coordinator while booking the conference.
