PREFACE
I have to undergo analysis project for a particular organization in project as on subject. After doing a lot of brainstorming we choose JEKSON MACHINERY as our organization and study it under the title of CONSUMER AWARENESS of JEKSON MACHINERY We are talking theoretical knowledge from the business school but we have also required practical knowledge for getting good job opportunities on successful entrepreneurial. So that purposes we are getting knowledge & skill by this types of marketing research report. My finding from the report is that the customers of JEKSON MACHINERY are highly satisfied with its product. In our project we study awareness of the customer of JEKSON MACHINERY in few cities. For this purpose I have prepared a questionnaire and collected information using it. I have analyzed the collected information and made the findings. This project will really help me in the future a great deal.

RESEARCH DESIGN
Research design is a plan, structure and strategy of investigation conceived so as to obtain answer to research question and to control variance. The definition consists of three important terms plans, structure, and strategy. The plan is an outline of the research scheme on which the researcher is to work. The structure of research is a more specific outline or the scheme and the strategy shows how the research will be carried out, specifying the method to be used in the collection and analysis of data.

TYPES OF RESEARCH DESIGN At the outset may be noted that there are several way of studying and tacking a problem. There is no single perfect design. As such, the researcher should not wait until he arrives at a unique and perfect research design. Research designs have being classified by various authors in different ways. Different types of research design have emerged on account of the different perspectives from which a research study can be viewed.

However a frequently used classification system is to group research design in three broad categories exploratory, descriptive and causal. We have used Descriptive Cross Sectional Design.

DESCRIPTIVE STUDIES
Descriptive studies are under taken in many circumstances. When the researcher is interested in knowing the characteristics of certain group such as age, sex, educational level or income, a descriptive study may be necessary. Other cases when a descriptive study could be taken up are when he is interested in knowing the proportion of people in a given population who have behaved in a particular manner, making projection of certain thing; or determining the relationship between two or more variables. The objective of such a study is to answer the who, what, when, where and how of the subject under investigation. There is a general feeling that descriptive studies are factual and are very simple. This is not necessarily true. Descriptive study can be complex, demanding a high degree of scientific skill on the part other researcher.

CROSS SECTIONAL DESIGN


Descriptive design gives the present picture of the situation at a given point of time. A cross sectional study is a connected with a sample of elements from a given population. Thus, it may deal with house holding, dealer, retail store or other entities. Data on the number of characteristics from the sample elements are collected and analyzed. Cross sectional studies are if two types field studies and surveys. Although the distraction between them is not clear cut, there are some practical difference which needs different techniques and skills.

Once the researcher has decided the research design, the next job is of data collection. For data to be useful, our observation needs to be organized so that we can get some patterns and come to logical conclusions. Statistical investigation requires systematic collection of data, so that all relevant groups are represented in the data. To determine the potential market for a new product, for example, the researcher might study 500 consumers in a certain geographical area. It must be ascertained that the group contains people representing variable such as income level, race, education and neighborhood. The quality of data will greatly affect the conclusion and hence, utmost importance must be given to this process and every possible precaution should be taken to ensure accuracy, while gathering and collection data. Depending upon the resources utilized. Whether the data has come from actual observation or from records that are kept for normal purpose, statistical data can be classified in to categories: Primary and secondary. We have used primary data in our research.

Primary data is one which is collected by the investigator himself for the purpose of specific inquiry or study. Such data is original in a character and is generated by surveys conducted by individuals or research institutions.

Observation Survey

We have used survey in our research. Survey: There are four methods by which data can be collected in a survey. The methods are Personal survey, Mail survey, Telephone survey and Computer survey. We have used Personal survey.

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
We have used a structured questionnaire. Questionnaire constitutes the most prevailing method of information method among the communication method used. Both structured and unstructured questionnaire is used in marketing research. Different scale of measurement cam be constructed and used to capture appropriately the strength of audience response. A structured questionnaire is a formal list of questions framed so as to get the fact. The interviewer asks the question strictly in accordance with a pre arranged order. If, for example, the market researcher is interested in working the amount of expenditure incurred on different type of clothing i.e. cotton woolen or synthetic, by different households classified according to their incomes, he may frame a set of questions seeking this factual information. If the marketing researcher appoints some interviewer to collect information on his behalf, the interviewers are expected to adhere to the same order in asking the question as contained in the questionnaire.

Structured questionnaire is one where the listing of questions is in a prearranged order and where the object of inquiry is revealed to the respondent.

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE
Sampling plays a vital role in carrying out any marketing research study. There would be hardly any marketing research study, which does not involve the use of sampling backbone of marketing research. A company selling particular brand of toothpaste and interested in knowing what portion of household in Delhi use its brand would involve the selection of sample of household. A market potential study aiming at finding the number, distribution and socio economic characteristics of potential customers of a product would define definitely involve the selection of some kind of sample. A company interested in introducing a new style of packaging for its product would be interested in knowing the reaction of its customers a study of which would require the selection of some type of sample.

THE SAMPLING PROCEDURE


We now turn to the sampling process. It is the procedure required right from the defining the population to the actual selection of sample elements. There are seven steps involved in this process. DEFINING THE POPULATION It is the aggregate of all the elements defined prior to selection of the sample. It is necessary to define the population in terms of (I) Elements, (ii) Sampling units, (iii) Extent, and (iv) Time. I have conducted the survey of market potentiality of jekson machinery on ahmedabad district. The specifications are as under: 1. Element: farmer & builder.

FRAME IDENTIFYING THE SAMPLING


The sampling frame should be so selected which consist of almost all the sampling units. Though it is not possible to have one to one correspondence between frame unit and sampling unit, however, we should choose a sampling frame which yield unbiased estimates with variance as how as possible. I have chosen urban and areas of ahmedabad district as my sampling frame viz.

SPECIFYING THE SAMPLING UNITS


The sampling units are the basic units containing the elements of target population. If one wanted a sample of housewives, it might be possible to have access to such a sample directly. However, it might be easier to select the farmer as sampling unit and then interview housewives in each of the selected farmer. The sample unit in my research is farmer & distributor.

SPECIFYING THE SAMPLING METHOD


The sampling method indicates how the sample units are selected. The most important decision in this regard is to determine which of the two probability or non probability sample is to be chosen.

I have used non probability quota sampling. (Quota: Taluka places) Quota sampling is one of the most commonly used sampling methods in marketing research study. Here the sample is selected on the basics on certain basic parameter such as age, sex, income, and occupation that describes the nature of population so as to make it representative of the population. The investigator or field workers are instructed to choose the sample that confirms to this parameter. The field workers are assigned the quota of the number of units satisfying the required characteristics on which data should be collected. However, before collecting data on these units the investigator are supposed to verify the unit qualify this characteristics.

DETERMINING THE SAMPLE SIZE

SPECIFYING THE SAMPLING PLAN


This means that one should indicate how decision made so far is to be implemented. All expected pertinent issue in sampling survey must be answered by the sampling plan.

SELECTING THE SAMPLE This is the final step in the sampling process. A good deal of field work and office work is introduced in the actual selection of the sample elements. However it depends mainly upon the sampling plan and sample size required.

ASSUMPTION OF THE PROJECT


While preparing this project report I have assumed quite a number of things which are as under:

The respondents are the perfect sample of the population. FARMER is the only purchaser of the machinery. Branded machines used in semi urban and urban areas, in rural areas mostly unbranded machine is used.

The respondents give truthful answers to the question without any biases. There are external factors (environment) affecting to the purchase of machinery..

From the above graph we can conclude that 38% of respondent prefers JEKSON MACHINE, 12% prefers SOLITONTECH, 23% prefers NOVA HYDRAULIC, and the remaining 27% prefers other brands of BLIND machinery..

INTRAPRETATION:From the above graph we can conclude that 43% of respondent are aware of the jekson machine while only the 57% of the respondent are not aware of the product.

Quality and health maintenance is the main reason behind the recommendations. The major competitors of jekson are nova and solitontech.. Loyalty to the brands prevails in the oil market. Majority of non users are aware of jekson. Non users have seen the advertisement of jekson. All the advertisement media used by jekson are effective. There is not proper awareness about the tirupati groundnut oil available in the market. The consumers prefer to have the lower prices than the existing one. The packing is very attractive.

There is not good performance by distribution members there should proper over distribution network. Company has to look after its distribution channel, because company is also having problem in distribution in many areas because there are less numbers of distributors who are not able to cover the areas which are allotted to them. Company has to increase the number of area delivery agent in order to distribute the machinery properly and timely. The firm should do more marketing through the medium of advertising because it is seen in the survey that the more stress is given on television; magazine and other sources like outdoor advertisement. . Heavy discount should be given to farmar and corporate because they are the bulk purchaser. Supply of products should be increased during the season. Distribution network should be expanded any new market should be developed. AHMEDABAD is vast, so meeting each and every one is impossible, so through the medium of broadcasting the company must make aware of the product to the people. The firm must try to give its best Effective strategies should be implemented to convert the non-users to the regular users of the jekson machinery.

The firm should try to stop the profiteering made by the retailers. The firm must advertise in such a way that it gets fixed in the mind of the people so the users do not get switch over to another machinery.

LIMITATION
Any things have its own limitation so this project has also little limitation which is as under.

One and big limitation of the project is that I am taking few sample for the research and also it is on the particular specified area only. I am taking sample from the dhatalodiya and sola in ahmedabad district research purpose so it is not enough for taking any decision so it is limitation for that. Here time limit is also fixed so it is one limitation of the project. I am assume that all respondents gives the answer is right but in some time it is wrong even so it be as an limitation also of the projects. I am choosing sample for the research by the use of non probability sampling so there are not equal chance for the selection as a sample so some time it is be as a limitation. I am using word Hing in the questionnaire so it is not proper word for that but its real word is Asafetida because Hing is a popular word for that.

CONCLUSION

I am getting lots of experience by this marketing research report.
