2011 Gwangju Summit of the Urban Environmental Accords

From October 11-13 2011, the City of Gwangju, in partnership with UNEP and the City of San Francisco, convened the 2011 Gwangju Summit of the Urban Environmental Accords (UEA Gwangju Summit) with the slogan “Green City, Better City.” A total of 127 cities and organizations from 38 countries participated in the event. The World Bank and its Urbanization Knowledge Platform was one out of 12 international organizations represented at this event.
