Description
My goal for this episode is to give you an introduction to using audio plug-ins in post-production to improve the quality of your audio files. I'll be honest; plug-ins used to scare me. They used to be confusing. I knew that you could use them to enhance your audio quality, but I had a ton of questions: Which plug-ins do I need to learn? How many should I use on each track? Is there a right/wrong way to use them? Do I need to buy the plug-ins that the professional mixers use, or are the stock plug-ins good enough? Those are just a few of the questions I'm going to answer in this episode. I'm also going to introduce you to the concepts of signal flow and gain staging, and talk about how you can make your audio sound good with the stock plug-ins that come with nearly every editing program.
