Britney Spears

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, Spears began performing as a child, landing acting roles in stage productions and television shows. She signed with Jive Records in 1997 and released her debut album ...Baby One More Time in 1999, which became the best-selling album by a teenage solo artist. During her first decade in the music industry, she became a prominent figure in mainstream popular music and popular culture, followed by a much-publicized personal life. Her first two albums established her as a pop icon and broke sales records, while title tracks "...Baby One More Time" and "Oops!... I Did It Again" became international number-one hits. Spears was credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s, and became the 'best-selling teen aged artist of all time' before she turned 20, garnering her the honorific titles of "Princess of Pop" and "Queen of Pop".

Featuring baby one more time and sometimes, as this was her first album they were going for a young girl next door/ cheer leader in the videos, it was innocent and sexy it a more subtle way, this attracted both young girls who wanted to be beautiful like her and also men. It was an instant success making her an early rising star. According to Richard Dyers theory, she was both ordinary (school girl and cheerleader) and extraordinary (beautiful/ talented) this paradox meant she was able to reach a massive audience.

2nd album Oops I did it again

Her second album, followed after her huge success on the first one. The single oops I did it again her look has now moved up to being more sexy. From school girl to leather suits. Although its still hot over the top and holds up her innocent but pop star image.

This album, after her greatest hits album was released. Released in 2007 it was after her melt down, and her image need to be re-vamped. Radar, a more sexy sophisticated video, changing the overtly slutty image of the previous album to a bit more sophisticated once again.

This her latest album, has a more dance feel to it, its also changing her look to more sexy, but more to her age also.
