CAUSES

The greenhouse effect causes trouble by raising the temperature of the planet. The actual rise is not very much, but the Earth's ecosystem is very fragile, and small changes can have large effects. Rise in see level Make holes in ozone layer Increase in temperature Completely destroy the poor islands

INTRODUCTION
The earth is kept warm by it's atmosphere, which acts rather like a woolly coat - without it, the average surface temperature would be about -18 degrees centigrade. heat from the sun passes through the atmosphere, warming it up, and most of it warms the surface of the planet. as the earth warms up, it emits heat in the form of infra-red radiation - much like a hot pan emits heat even after it's taken away from the cooker. some of this heat is trapped by the atmosphere, but the rest escapes into space. the socalled "greenhouse gases" make the atmosphere trap more of this radiation, so it gradually warms up more than it should, like a greenhouse (although a greenhouse actually does this by stopping warm air rising and escaping from it).

SAFETY INSTRUMENTS

PREVENTION

Reducing use of fossil fuels would considerably reduce the amount of carbon dioxide produced, as well as reducing the levels of the pollutants which cause acid rain. This can be achieved by either using less energy altogether, or using alternative energy sources. You can help save energy in lots of ways: Turn off lights when you leave a room If you have a car, don't use it for short journeys Eliminating the use of Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) is something we can actually do. Basically, anything at all that uses less energy

Pollution of ozone
The weather report on the radio or TVtells you that it is going to be sunny and hot and that an orange ozone alert has been issued. In this article, we will examine what ozone is, how it is produced, what health hazards it poses and what you can do to reduce ozone pollution.

ozone

Ozone is a molecule of three oxygen atoms bound together (O3). It is unstable and highly reactive. Ozone is used as a bleach, a deodorizing agent, and a sterilization agent for air and drinking water. At low concentrations, it is toxic

Air pollution

AIR POLLUTION, CONTAMINATION OF THE AIR BY NOXIOUS GASES AND MINUTE PARTICLES OF SOLID AND LIQUID MATTER (PARTICULATES) IN CONCENTRATIONS THAT ENDANGER HEALTH. THE MAJOR SOURCES OF AIR POLLUTION ARE TRANSPORTATION ENGINES, POWER AND HEAT GENERATION, INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES, AND THE BURNING OF SOLID WASTE

Effects on Health and the Environment

Acid rain, a form of precipitation that contains high levels of sulfuric or nitric acids, can contaminate drinking water and vegetation, damage aquatic life, and erode buildings. When a weather condition known as a temperature Air pollution may possibly harm populations in ways so subtle or slow that they have not yet been detected. For that reason research is now under way to assess the long-term effects of chronic exposure to low levels of air pollutionwhat most people experienceas well as to determine how air pollutants interact with one another in the body and with physical factors

Conclusion

By the above safety methods we can avoid global warming&pollution. So the environment is prevented. So our lifetime is extended.
