Objectives of the Study


Identification of the technique of performance appraisal followed in HBS. Employee attitude towards the present appraisal system. Review of the current appraisal system in order -Enhance productivity -Attain global standards To provide suggestions & recommendations from the study conducted.

Need for the Study


To evaluate the employees according to the standards. To find out the strengths and weaknesses of the employees. To provide training or reward according to the appraisal. For continuous improvement, to increase the total output of the organization.

Scope of the Study


To increase the productivity by increasing the level of performance. The programme would help the organization in meeting its goals. It will help in enhancing the knowledge and skills of the employees.

Limitations
Although all attempts were made to make this an
objective study, biases on the part of respondents might have resulted in some subjectivity. Though, no effort was spared to make the study most accurate and useful, the sample Size selected for the same may not be the true representative of the organization, resulting in biased results. Time constraint to carry on an in depth study.

Performance appraisals are a regular review of employee performance within organizations. Performance Appraisal is the systematic evaluation of the performance of employees and to understand the abilities of a person for further growth and development.
