What is CSR
A variety of terms are used, sometimes interchangeably, to talk about Corporate Social Responsibility: Business ethics, Corporate Citizenship, Corporate Accountability, Sustainability. CSR typically includes isses related to business ethics, community investment, environment, governance, human rights, marketplace and workplace. CSR means addressing the legal, ethical, commercial and other expectations socety has for business & making decisions that fairly balance the claims of all key stakeholders. In its simplest terms it is, what you do, how you do it and when and what you say.

Tata Group
The group takes the name of its founder, Jamsetji Tata. Founded in the year1868. Tata Group has operations in more than 80 countries across six continents . It has over 100 operating companies each of them operates independently out of them 31 are publicly listed.

The major Tata companies are Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Global Beverages, Tata Teleservices, Titan, Tata Communications and Taj Hotels. The combined market capitalisation of all the 31 listed Tata companies was $89.88 billion as of March 2012.

Tata Global Beverages


Formerly known as Tata Tea. It is the world's second-largest manufacturer and distributor of tea and a major producer of coffee. Tata Global Beverages markets tea under the major brands Tata Tea, Tetley, Good Earth Teas and JEMA.

Tata Tea is the biggest-selling tea brand in India. Tetley is the biggest-selling tea brand in the United Kingdom and Canada and the second biggest-selling in the United States. JEMA is the biggest-selling tea brand in the Czech Republic

Jaago Re!

Jaago Re! is a non-partisan national campaign launched by Tata Global Beverages, to awaken and enable the citizens of India. Its core mission is to register everyone in India to vote for better governance. In the launch year (2008-09), the campaign targeted the top 35 cities of India, and aimed to register millions of youth before the 2009 general elections.

This initiative sounds a wakeup call for the billion people of this country to unite and bring about change. The uniqueness of this campaign is the way technology has been innovatively leveraged to address the fundamental challenges in voter registration process. One of the key innovations is the launch of Indias first online voter registration engine, which allows users to fill out your voter registration form online within 5 mins.
