Impact of Words

Adelle

Make a commitment to ask then in a bold way What we say not only effects us, but others also! We can learn to choose our thoughts, to resist wrong ones and to think in on good, healthy, and right ones. Where the mind goes the man follows or where the mind goes the mouth follows.

We can say oh man do I dread this day, Or we can say God will give me strength today to do whatever I need to do and to do it with Joy

Proverbs 15:4 NKJV

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

Proverbs 12:14 Amplified

From the fruit of his words a man shall be satisfied with good, and the work of a mans hands shall come back to him [as a harvest].

Proverbs 13:2-3 Amplified

2 A good man eats good from the fruit of his mouth, but the desire of the treacherous is for violence. 3 He who guards his mouth keeps his life, but he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

Proverbs 18:20 Amplified

20 A

mans [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil].

As we progress in this lesson we are going to learn that what we say can actually create the circumstances in our lives!!! Yikes! If we say a thing often enough silently in our hearts or verbally we will begin to believe it whether its true or false.

Seedtime and Harvest

We cannot see thoughts, attitudes, or words, but they are also seeds that operate in the spiritual (unseen) realm and they also produce a harvest based on what was planted.

Seedtime and Harvest

If a person continually sows negative thoughts, attitudes, and words; then he will produce many negative results in his life. Likewise if he sows positive life filled thoughts, attitudes, and words; then he will see good, positive, results. Jesus said that his words were spirit and life (John 6:63)

Faith and Persistence

Mark 11:22-26 (KJV) 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Faith and Persistence

Mark 11:22-26 (Message) 22-25 Jesus was matter-of-fact: Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, Go jump in the lakeno shuffling or shillyshallyingand its as good as done. Thats why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and youll get Gods everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that its not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgiveonly then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.

Faith and Persistence

Mark 11:22-26 (Amp) 22 And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. 23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. 25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and [a]let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. 26 [b]But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.

Do you have problems in this life?

I wish we could all say no but the answer can sometimes be right under our noses! We cant walk and live in victory without understanding the power of words spoken.

Are you talking about your mountains or to them?

Ps. 103:20 (KJV) 20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Prov. 18:4 (KJV) 4 The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.

Persistence
Vital link to victory We must know what we believe and stick to it till we see the results.

1 Kings 18:41-46 (KJV)

Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, 43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.

1 Kings 18:41-46 (KJV)

it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not. 45 And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. 46 And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Luke 11:6-13 (KJV)

a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? 7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. 8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

The doors locked; my children are all down for the night; I cant get up to give you anything.

8 But

Luke 11:6-13 (Message)

10-13 Dont

bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game were in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldnt think of such a thingyoure at least decent to your own children. And dont you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?

Mark 9:18-24 (KJV)

wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. 19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. 20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

Mark 9:18-24 (KJV)

he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. 22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Obedience and Forgiveness

Just as important as Faith and Persistence now there is a balance in this teaching, speaking the word is powerful and absolutely necessary in overcoming. However it is not the only doctrine in the word of God.

Forgiveness Mark 11:25-26 (KJV)

when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
25 And

Obedience is equally important. If a person thinks he can live in disobedience, but speak Gods words to his mountains and get results he will be sadly disappointed.

Obedience is the central theme of the Bible

2 Kings 5:1-14 (KJV) 5 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper. 2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.

she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy. 4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel. 5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment. 6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.

7 And

it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me. 8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. 9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.

11 But

Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. 13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean? 14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

For many of us our lives are a mess due to disobedience! Obedience always comes before a blessing When we read Gods word we cannot ignore the ifs and buts

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Isaiah 1:18-20 (KJV)

now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Ps. 121:1-8 (KJV)

LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
