GLOBAL CHILD CARE ARTIFACT

Artifact Description: The purpose of this artifact is to demonstrate my teamwork skills for a group research project that required us to instruct and engage the class by creating and an effective power point presentation. This artifact was based on a group presentation on Child Care from Global Perspective England performed by Jun, Suling, Nusrat, Fahmida and Sayeda.

TEAMWORK SKILLS

I showed my effective team playing skill by:
arranging a good team using my strong interpersonal skill coordinating team members to sit and work together creating a cordial, comfortable environment for the group sharing some responsibilities of other member as needed

RESEARCH SKILLS

To do the project, we researched many authentic materials


Text and reference books like Early childhood education: An international encyclopedia; Essentials of Early Childhood Education Online resources using Google and other search engines Englands Government website related to child care Englands Government Statistics department website Various newspapers and peer reviewed scholarly journals/magazines

CREATIVE SKILLS
Our project was about Englands chid care system. We accomplished a ppt which was very creative, colourful, esthetically pleasing and informative. We discussed topics like England overview, Description of its childcare system, History, Underlying philosophy, Availability & Accessibility ,Caregivers education & training etc. The image on the left was creatively embedded in our ppt. in Overview section. A slide created by me for my part Underlying philosophy is shown below:

Philosophy of early childhood education in England was initially play based learning. Later, in 2008, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) was introduced. EYFS sets the framework for the standards of early childhood education.

CONCLUSION
By doing this project, I have been benefitted in many ways

Develop my knowledge on childcare from global perspective Can compare and contrast childcare between England and Ontario

Enhance my organizational, interpersonal and management skills


Develop in-depth research skills Develop my computer literacy, creativity and presentation skills
