 EMBRACING GRACE

Dr. Mike Easley says it this way:

“We used to raise our children to be Salt and
Light of the world now we raise them to be
protected from the world”
 Definition of Embrace:
1 a: to clasp in the arms : hug b: cherish , love
2: encircle , enclose
3 a: to take up especially readily or gladly <embrace a
cause> b: to avail oneself of : welcome <embraced the
opportunity to study further>
4 a: to take in or include as a part, item, or element of a
more inclusive whole <charity embraces all acts that
contribute to human welfare> b: to be equal or
equivalent to <his assets embraced $10>intransitive
verb: to participate in an embrace
 DISQUALIFICATION OF GRACE

Can we be disqualified from Biblical Grace?

 DISQUALIFICATION OF GRACE

•They wanted to show that the love of Christ

was not for everyone
•They wanted to test Jesus and show that
extending this love was illegal
 DISQUALIFICATION OF GRACE

• I think so many of us live each day

attempting to disqualify ourselves from God’s
grace.
 DISQUALIFICATION OF GRACE

•The world does a great job of attempting to

disqualify us as well. The world uses tactics
such as lies, gossip, slander and sarcasm to
attempt to get us to not EMBRACE grace.
 EXTENDING GRACE
He did not yell, he did not debate, he did
not lash out, he simply began to write in
the dirt.
Some try to argue what Jesus wrote. Some refer
to Ex 31:18 where God prescribed the 10
commandments to Moses “by the finger of God”.
But to tell the truth, we all tend to speculate
what he wrote because we don’t know.
However, we do know a lot….
 EXTENDING GRACE

We know that he EXTENDED GRACE to this

woman that did not deserve it.
Please understand this morning that there is
not one person in here that deserves the
Grace of Jesus Christ.
 EXTENDING GRACE

From the Outside in the choice was clear:

Guilty, Convict, Death, No Grace

From the Inside out:

I am guilty, I should be
Convicted, I am qualified for
Death-I need grace
THE CONVICTION OF TRUTH
 APPLICATION:
Have you embraced the grace that is
available to you through Jesus Christ?
Confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord
Acknowledge that you are nothing
without Him in your life
Live like a Dead Man Walking
(Galatians 2:20)
 APPLICATION:
Who are you to extend that grace to this
week?
Each morning pray for divine moments
any where you go

Step out in faith when the Spirit prompts
