ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN INCLUDES: Promulgation in 1974 of the Labor Code of the Philippines Under Pres. Decree 442 pave the way for the creation of Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) to manage both local & overseas employment. In 1986 BLE benchmark the deployment of Community Employment Centers (CECs) based on the support of the LGUs all over the country In 1999 - R.A. No. 8759 PESO Act of 1999 passed into law establishing PESO in every PROVINCE, KEY CITIES and other strategic areas throughout the country (thru Department Order No. 7 Series of 2000)

An ACT strengthening and expanding the coverage of the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), amending for the purpose provisions of R.A. #7323, otherwise known as the Special Program for Employment of Students. SPES aims to assist poor but deserving students find employment during: >Summer and/or Christmas vacations = for Secondary level

>Throughout/Anytime of the year = for Tertiary, Vocational or Technical levels

*OBJECTIVES
1. to help poor but deserving students pursue & finish their education 2. to develop the intellectual capacities of children of poor families and harness their potentials for the countrys well being *COVERAGE Poor but deserving students between 15 to 25 years old who are enrolled or OSY intending to enroll in any secondary, tertiary, technical or vocational education institution Participating employers or persons employing at least ten (10) persons.

*QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT:


15-25 YRS. OLD Combined Net Income after tax of parents, including his/her income, if any, does not exceed the latest annual regional poverty threshold level for a family of 6 as determined and provided by National Economic Development Authority (NEDA). FOR 2012, OUR OFFICE SET AN AMOUNT OF P85,200.00 as the latest annual regional poverty threshold level based on NEDA-NCSB. Got an average passing grade during the last/LATEST school/term attended

SPES APPLICATION FORM COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR ANY DOCUMENT THAT SHOWS HIS/HER DATE OF BIRTH CERTIFICATION BY THE SCHOOL REGISTRAR AS TO (1) HIS/HER LAST ENROLLMENT,AND (2) HIS/HER AVERAGE PASSING GRADE OR A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL CLASS CARD OR FORM 138 COPY OF THE LATEST INCOME TAX RETURN (ITR) OF HIS/HJER PARENTS OR CERTIFICATION ISSUED BY BIR THAT THE PARENTS ARE EXEMPTED FROM PAYMENT OF TAX FOR (OUT OF SCHOOL YOUTH (OSY), CERTIFICATE OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER ISSUED BY THE AUTHORIZED BARANGAY OFFICIAL WHERE THE OSY RESIDES NOTE: PESO STAFF SHALL NOT ACCEPT INCOMPLETE DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS
