1. INTRODUCTION
All my computer and software knowledge came from over the 25 past years

My experience in customs business let me got a great job at a transnational company

3. ENERGY AND MINES MINISTRY


This ministry is the government agency that controls the energy and mining sector and belongs to the central government.

3.1 VISION OF THE ENERGY AND MINES MINISTRY


What do we want to be? Government and lead agency of the mining and energy sector, characterized for been efficient, decentralized and transparent, with high qualified employees who give a great quality service.

3.2 MISSION OF THE ENERGY AND MINES MINISTRY


What is our reason for being? Promote the sustainable development of the energy and mining activities, pushing the private investment in a competitive global agreement, preserving the environment and provide good relationships among the sector.

3.3 ORGANIZATION CHART OF THE ENERGY AND MINES MINISTRY


Its a typical Peruvian government organization, with many offices and head offices. I am currently working at the Information Technology Office.

3.4 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICE


Its in charge of the maintenance and management of the software and computing services

3.4.1 ORGANIZATION OF THE IT OFFICE


Its a small office with specific areas, which are: Help desk, Development and network / data base management

3.4.2 FUNCIONS OF THE OFFICE OF IT


One of the main functions is to development and implement the required software to facilitate the administrative and operational work of the ministry.

Its a system that keeps and process all the information related to the Mining and Energy environment

Regarding the functions of the employees and areas users, there were developed the following components:

All the information from companies is registered in this module. The companies are divided in Operators, Consulting and Labs.

This is a report which varies according to the information transactions from every environmental company.

Register, monitoring and control of different kind of environmental studies

The periodic measurement is normally monthly. But we can get an annual report with all the values from the concentration that is compared with the maximum allowed boundaries

It is a useful tool most of all in mining projects, because allows to check online the ownership of the concessions when the environmental projects

4. CONCLUSIONS
Although there are efforts from the government to promote the development of the mining energetic activities in harmony with the environment, still the achievements are very useless to prevent contamination in our rich mother nature. From my personal experience I can assure you, there is much to contribute trough the computing systems to prevent or avoid any irrevocable damage to our environment.

5. RECOMENDATIONS
Promote the development of smart systems that help to measure he pollution in real time. Install measure equipment in strategic places The further dissemination to create awareness in people, to protect the environment. There should be laws and legislation from the government to penalize the companies or people who contaminate the environment.
