Roses
Roses are more than 2500 years old friends of human beings. They have very strong appeal to human aesthetics. This is why, they are with human beings for such a long period of time. A rose is a woody perennial of the genus Rosa, within the family Rosacea. There are more than 100 species of roses known today. Most of rose species are native of Asia, with a smaller number of rose species native of Europe, North America, and Northwest Africa. Species like cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beautiful appearance and appreciated for their pleasant fragrance.

Roses and thorns are parts of the same plant. Somehow though, some people are concerned mainly about the roses. The rose is not on the plant for more than a week, but the thorns are there forever. Symbolism
Rose colors symbolize soft feelings for many special occasions. They reflect true feelings of hearts. A proverb goes on to signify this as, A word said is a word lost. In order to save a word, choose the right color of a rose for a friend. It's no surprise that roses are among the most admired and evocative of all flowers. They convey the inner feelings of a friend to another in a most sophisticated manner.

Blue roses symbolize something that is impossible to achieve; something that is unattainable that will only remain a dream that can never be realized. In love, a blue rose can represent a hope for a love that is impossible or unrequited. In that way, it can also signify a hope for a miracle to happen. Blue roses also signify new beginnings. The excitement for the untold beginnings of a new venture is often expressed with blue roses. In a way, blue roses can also represent caution; the need to tread carefully in new territories that is still much unknown.
