ABOUT BVICAM

"Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computers Applications and Management (BVICAM)", New Delhi is one of the 147 institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. The institute had started Masters of Computers Applications (MCA) programme with effect from the Academic year 2002-03 as a part of Bharati Vidyapeeth family in New Delhi. The Institute is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University(GGSIPU), Approval has been accorded by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The New Delhi branch is centrally located at National Highway No. 10, Rohtak Road, A-4, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, in its own state of the art sprawling campus.

Bharati Vidyapeeth, which is the parent body of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, is one of the largest networks of educational institutions in India. Its major campuses are in New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad, Satara, and Panchgani and many more. It was established by Dr. Patangrao Kadam in 1964 in Pune, with a focused objective of bringing about intellectual awakening of people Bharati Vidyapeeth runs more than 78 schools and 60 institutions of higher education, including those of professional education.

INFRASTRUCTURE

BVICAM is well poised with spacious parking areas with an excellent surrounding striving for a pollution free and healthy environment . It incorporates amenities like Conference Hall, Auditorium, Amphitheatre, ultra modern Computer Centre, well stocked Library, Student's Hostel, In-house Banking facility, Indoor and Outdoor games facility, aesthetically designed Canteen in an open-air ambience etc.

ADMISSION

The Institute stands affiliated with GGSIP University, Delhi.As a result, the admission for MCA Programme of this Institute, for the Academic Year 2012-2013, will be done by GGSIP University, Delhi, based upon the CET-2012 conducted for the purpose. 90% of the seats will be filled in by the Centralized Counseling to be conducted by GGSIP University, Delhi, based on its CET-2012 Remaining 10% of the seats are reserved for Management Category. Admission to these 10% Reserved Management Category Seats will be done by the Management of the Institute on merit as per the Instructions of the Govt. of NCT, Delhi and GGSIP University, Delhi.

PLACEMENTS

BVICAM has over the years built a strong and cordial rapport with several IT companies. Institute is getting overwhelming responses from these IT companies where the alumni had been placed. This acted as a catalyst in the growth of job placements on the institution.

COMPUTER RESOURCE CENTRE

Computer Labs Wide range of computer labs with about 100 computer systems and one Internet lab. Digital Systems & Microprocessor Lab Equipped with PAL/GAL trainer, 8085 microprocessor kits, etc. Internet Lab The Institute has a very well equipped internet lab. It is connected to the cyberspace with a high speed 128 Kbps ISDN connection.

They help students to explore all round personality development and guide them in proper direction for facing the futuristic challenges of the contemporary IT world. Reunion programmes and meets are arranged with an aim to encourage our former students to stay in touch with their batch-mates .

LIBRARY

The library operates on open access system. There are over 1000 titles (reference + text books) and 8000 books in all. Library maintains the following resource materials: General Books Text Books Reference Books Book Bank facility Indian / Foreign Periodicals / Journals / Magazines Audio-Visual Facilities Collection of good Project Reports and Surveys.

LIBRARY

The books are issued to the students for a period of 7 days. The library is computerized, which helps in information retrieval and library management in a much more easier way.

AUDITORIUM
The institute has a well - designed amphitheatre where the students organize a number of cultural extravaganzas. It has a capacity of 250 students at a time. ACHIEVEMENTS OF BVICAM
Institute has been selected by the University as the Centre for Spot Evaluation - Central Assessment Process (CAP) for MCA. Bharati Vidyapeeth's CSI Students' Branch has been awarded as the Best Students Branch in Northern Region for 2004-2005. BVICAM is at foremest place in the toppers of GGSIPU University.
