• The presence of American companies successfully
operating in Honduras dates back to 1870
• Honduras political stability and sustained democratic
institutions and policies are also a key success factor
attracting FDI
Business Case – San Pedro Sula
• The main role that SPS plays on the “dry channel” (a
highway that will join the Central American Pacific and
Atlantic coasts) and it’s vicinity with the only deep water
port in the region, Puerto Cortés, with a certification as a
megaport, and the operation of a US Customs Office on
it’s premises, enable San Pedro Sula a strategic position
and the title of the most important Central American city
in the Atlantic coast
• Emergia 1, Arcos 1 and Maya land in Puerto Cortes and
other points in Honduras, securing connectivity at all
times. Navega, our carrier partner is setting up

Business Case – How much will Honduras
capture?
Business Case – Why Honduras has the
right conditions?
• Cultural affinity – even our accent and knowledge of
what is happening in the U.S. are key factors
• Same time zone – U.S. Central Time, just 2 hrs away
from Miami
• Access to Hispanic market – “Se habla espanol”
• Sufficient critical mass – sustained growth rates on the
English speaking population and last years job fair are
evidence of this
• Right national infrastructure – telecommunication
infrastructure
• Investment in a world class infrastructure at a
competitive cost – space and energy supply
Business Case – Why Honduras and Altia
have the right conditions?
• Right Legal framework – ABP is established as a free
zone
• We have put together a master plan that considers all
the needs of the Contact center, BPO and ITO needs
• Altia Business Park as a local partner – we are a service
driven company, we strive to help you focus on your core
business
• Strategic alliances – we have developed a network of
partners in the public and private sector that includes
universities, carriers, energy, government officials
Business Case – Why Honduras and Altia
have the right conditions?
• We have planned this as a cluster development and part
of the nations plan, not as a mere real estate project (we
strive for the long run)
• LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
certification / “Intelligent building” – The intent of the LEED
program is to make developments less wasteful of resources and
more energy efficient through the use of environmentally-benign
products and non-sprawl locations. Examples of cost-effective
measures include: (1) the building’s proximity to public
transportation; (2) the amount of recycled or regional materials used
in the construction process; (3) the extent to which natural daylight
can be used to illuminate interior spaces (4) “smart” use of energy
• The main cost drivers (labor – agent cost, real estate
– lease or buy and telecommunication) are the most
competitive in the entire Caribbean and Central
America
