Business setting When greeting, hands should not be in the pocket disrespectful Removing hat when talking or entering someones office Dont show your back to other people when speaking Standing up is to show respect (Usually to the people with higher status)
Social setting
Visiting someone knock and wait for someone to come and open the door for you Dont sit until they ushered you the seat Dont show your back to other people when speaking

ZIMBABWE Before: You need to clap your hands first Receiving gift/gifts MALAYSIA Before: Theres no need to clap hands (except for children as its their nature to react that way to show that they are happy) After: We dont open the give at the presence of the giver as it symbolize impoliteness.

Differences in handshake
ZIMBABWE Hooked fingers, thumbs raised and touching each other, then end up with normal handshakes (It shows a lack of respect to openly criticise the government) Business setting: Its normal to shake hand with the same gender. (male & male / female & female) Handshake is not allowed with opposite gender, elderly and married individuals. Handshake MALAYSIA Normal handshake (For all occasion)
Business setting: Both gender are allowed to shake hand with one another to show courteous.

Difference in kissing
ZIMBABWE Business setting: Kissing on the cheek is not allowed at first meeting but for the second meeting, it is allowed for both gender. Kissing MALAYSIA Business setting: Kissing on the cheek are absolutely not allowed for both gender in a formal situation.
