Introduction
Hardware data configuration is the first step of SAU data
configuration.
After this course, trainees will understand HLR9820 hardware
in-depth.
Page 2
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Master the hardware& local office data configuration. Master all the logical NO. principle.

Number of devices
To help in recognizing all categories of module components, it is necessary to number those of the same category uniformly. Shelf number To recognize individual shelves easily, each shelf is given a number, called shelf number. The shelf with the basic frame is numbered as Shelf 0.
Page 11
Number of devices
Frame number
The system can support ten frames at most, numbering from 0 to 9. The basic frame in the integrated configuration shelf is numbered as Frame 0.

Slot number
Slot number is used to identify the slot of a specific board that is inserted into a frame. Each frame contains 21 slots at most (No. from 0 to 20)

Module
Module number
Module number is set according to the type of the board and is numbered from 2. Modules of the same board are numbered uniquely. Here are the numbering rules: WSMU Module number: 2~21 WCCU/WCSU Module number: 22~101

Before the data configuration, you should know
The networking and configuration conditions The requirements put forward during engineering design stage The local office information (SPC/HLR No./CC etc.)

Add Shelf
For HLR9820 SAU, there is only one shelf. The number always is 0.

Add Frames
For SUN solution, there is only one frame. The frame number is always 0. For IBM Solution, there are three frames at maximum configuration. The frame number are from 0 to 2.

Add Boards
Before adding the boards, the frame and shelf to which the boards belong must have already been added. WSMU/WALU/PSM will be added automatically after the frame has been added. If parameters need to be modified, please delete the board at first then add it again. Two pieces of CPC will be added automatically after the WCSU has been added.

Questions
Whats the difference between LST and DSP? Which command is to check current clock reference?

LST is for query static data; DSP is for query the status of
frame/board etc.
DSP BRD is used to check current clock reference. (Board is
active WCKI)
