Competency Standard is the written specification of the


knowledge, skills attitudes and values required for the performance of a job, occupation or trade and the corresponding standard of performance required fo these in the workplace

10 Principles of CBT
1. The Training is Based on Curriculum Developed from the Competency Standards. 2. Learning is Competency-Based or modular Structure. 3. Training Delivery is Individualize and Self-Paced. 4. Training is based on Work that must be Performed. 5. Training Materials are Directly related to the competency standards and the curriculum. 6. Assessment of learners is based in the collection of evidence of work performance based on the industry or organizational required standards. 7. Training is based both on and of the job component. 8. The system allow Recognition of prior learning or (RPL). 9. The system allow for learners to enter and exit programs at different times and levels and to receive an award for competency attained at any point. 10. Approved training programs are nationally accredited.
