ISO develops International Standards. - story began in 1946 when delegates from 25 countries - Found in Feb. 1947. - 19500 Standards. (Tech., Business, Agriculture, Health care,.etc.

- They are a network of national standards bodies. These national standards bodies make up the ISO membership and they represent ISO in their country. - 163 countries - 3 368 technical bodies to take care of standard development

What is a standard? A standard is a document that provides requirements, specifications, guidelines or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that materials, products, processes and services are fit for their purpose.
