Dealing with basic functions:]

Select the cells in which you want to align the text. Open the Format menu. In the Format Cells dialog box, select the Alignment tab. In the Text Alignment pane, click the horizontal text box. Select the horizontal alignment type such as left, right, center. Click the vertical text box. Select the vertical alignment type, such as top or bottom. Select OK to accept the changes.

Select

the cell you wish to copy Right click and click copy or paste. Right click on the location where you want to copy or paste the selected cell and click paste.

With the mouse pointer, right click on the row header below where you want the new row added. Choose Insert from the menu. The new row will be inserted above the row you selected.

To add more than one new row, we select more than one row in the row header.

In the row header, drag select the number of rows you want added to the spreadsheet. Right click on the selected rows. Choose Insert from the menu. The new rows will be inserted above the rows you first selected.

With the mouse pointer, right click on the column header where you want the new column added. Choose Insert from the menu. The new column will be inserted to the left of the selected column.

To add more than one new column, we select more than one column in the column header.
In the column header, drag select the number of columns you want added to the spreadsheet. Right click on the selected columns. Choose Insert from the menu. The new columns will be inserted to the left of the selected columns.

To delete a row from a spreadsheet Right click on the row header of the row you want to delete Choose Delete from the menu To delete a column from a spreadsheet Right click on the column you want to delete. Choose Delete from the menu.

To

manually change the width of columns, position the mouse pointer on the right boundary of a column heading until it turns into a double-sided arrow. Drag left or right until the column is the width that you want.

To

set a column width to a specific setting, choose Format Column Width on the Home tab. Type the exact width you want in the Column Width dialog box; then click OK.

To

manually change the row height, position the mouse pointer on the bottom boundary of the row heading until it turns into a double-sided arrow. Drag until the row is the height that you want.

To

set a row height to a specific setting, choose Format Row Height on the Home tab. Type the exact height you want in the Row Height dialog box; then click OK.
