LABOUR WELFARE MEASURES

INTRODUCTION:
LABOUR WELFARE: Labour welfare activities benefit not only the workers but also the management in term of greater industrial efficiency Labour welfare:Labour welfare work aims at providing such service facilities and amenities

which enable the workers employed in an organization to perform their work in healthy
congenial surrounding conductive to good health and high morale.

LABOUR WELFARE MEASURES:


The term employee and labour is used interchangeably in the study unit. In this study employee welfare refers to labour welfare. Efficiency of the workforce is directly and indirectly linked with the conditions and environment under which they are required to work. Even the most sincere employee cannot contribute his productivity is bound to increase when he is comfortable at the workplace and he is conscious of the welfare amenities.

NEED OF THE STUDY:


Labour welfare in India has a special significance as the constitution provides for
the promotion of welfare of the labour for human conditions of work and securing to all workers. The various welfare measures provided by the employee will have immediate impact on the health, physical and mental efficiency, alertness, morale and overall efficiency of the workers and thereby contributing to the highest productivity.

OBJECTIVES OF STUDY:
To study the existing welfare measures adopted by the organization To identify the impact of the welfare measures upon the workers health and productivity. To Analyze employee satisfaction towards welfare measures provided by OCTL Co. Ltd. To suggest any improvements in present welfare measures of OCTL Co. Ltd

SCOPE OF THE STUDY:


My study is focusing only labour welfare measures implemented at OCTL Co. Ltd,Narkatpally & it is limited to only operational, i.e. low level employees of organization

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:
METHODOLOGY: The study carried with the cooperation of the management who permitted to carry on the study and provided the requisite data collected from the following sources. SAMPLE DESIGN: Geographical area: The study is conducted in Narketpally (OCTL Co. Ltd). Duration of project: The duration of project work is about 45 days Sample units: The sampling units used by the researcher for this research, are those who are using

OCTL Co. Ltd employees(700).

SAMPLE SIZE The number of samples collected by the researcher is 100.


Sampling method: The sampling method used for this study is Convenience sampling method which is selected according to the easy and convenience of the researcher.

SOURCE OF DATA: Primary data Secondary data Primary data: The researcher collected data through structured questionnaire from the Employers & Personal interview with HR executives..

Secondary data:
Here the researcher collected secondary data from the company profile, industry profile and official web sites.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY:


Time is one of the main constraints of the Study. The result depends on the answers received from respondent which may be biased. It is limited to OCTL Co. Ltd,Narketpally Regions operational level employees only which cant be generalized.
