BASIC PRINCIPLE AND STRATEGY
Avoid acquisition of agricultural land and homestead to the extent possible

Assist the affected persons to improve or at least regain their previous standard of living

Emphasis on LFL (Land for Land) option of rehabilitation

RAP (Rehabilitation Action Plan) budget will be part of the capital budget of the project
Rehabilitation & Resettlement plan formulated after consulting with Village Developement Advisory Council

Social Economic Survey to create baseline data of Project Affected Persons

Pulic Information Centres set up to circulate information and address greivances

Sociologists appointed to interact with PAPs

Social Impact Evaluation (SIE) carried out to measure efficacy of plan
