For his contributions in psychotherapy, counseling and psychology, he was bestowed the Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions to Psychology by the American Psychology Associations (APA) Won Humanist of the year 1964 award given by the American Humanist Associations
Was named David Starr Jordan Professor of Social Science in Psychology by Stanford University in 1974 In 1977, he produced another book entitled Social Learning Theory In 1986, publishing a book entitled Social Foundations of Thought and Action: A Social Cognitive Theory His sixth book entitled Self Efficacy: The Exercise of Control was published in 1997
