Reverse Switch

Scenario

System fails to detect the hardware faults in transmitting direction

Switch condition

Remote site detected the failure and trigger the HSB or SD switch in local site by RDI.

Characteristics

It is only configured in the case of HSB or SD. Through the service detection, all the hardware faults in the transmitting direction can be protected.

Microwave N+1 Protection

In microwave N+1 protection (N<=3), there is one protection channel and N working channels, the working service are in the corresponding working channels and protection channel may used for extra service.

The working service in some certain channel can be switched to the protection channel when the failure happened in the corresponding working

channel.

Adaptive Modulation (Cont.)

The AM function switches the modulation scheme step by step. The highest-efficiency modulation scheme and lowest-efficiency

modulation scheme can be configured.

The AM function retains the transmit frequency, receive frequency, and channel spacing when switching the modulation scheme.

AM Mode is Asymmetric, an AM switching in one direction of the

radio link does not trigger the AM switching in the other direction of the radio link.

Services are concurrently sent at NE A. The path that through NE

B is the active path. The path that through NE D is the standby path.
In the normal state, NE C selects the services from the active path. In switching state, NE C switch to select the services from the standby

path.

Linear Multiplex Section Protection

The Linear Multiplex Section Protection (LMSP) is used for point to point topology to provide the protection between two nodes.

IDU 610 supports up to 2 groups of STM-1 optical/electrical LMSP, and IDU 620 supports up to 5 groups of STM-1 optical/ electrical LMSP or 3 groups of STM-1 optical/electrical LMSP plus 1 group of STM-4 LMSP.
