Association of Friends of the Ancient Hellenic Civilization Elefsis

The Association of Friends of the Ancient Hellenic Civilization Elefsis was established in early 2000 in Lefkosia (Nicosia), Cyprus. It started out as a group of friends who shared research interests on the real meanings of what is called Ancient Hellenic (Greek) Civilization. As time passed, this small group evolved into a large association of people with common interests, objectives and aspirations.

EMBROIDERY & LACE MAKING

The art of embroidery & lace making was especially developed in the village of Lefkara

It is said that Leonardo Da Vinci himself, visited Lefkara village in 1481. He admired the beauty of a lace cloth and purchased it for the main altar of Duomo di Milano.
