RESEARCH PROPOSAL

Management Problem
Mobile banking/mobile payment facilities are not

picking up in India It is very much prevalent in the USA with a annual growth of more than 40+% where as in India less than 0.1% of people with mobiles use Mobile Banking facilities

Research Objectives
Our research objectives are:

1) To find out the accessibility of mobile banking in

India 2) Customer opinions about mobile banking 3) Awareness among the people about mobile banking 4) Issues regarding the usage of mobile banking 5) Future of mobile banking in India

Type and Nature of Data


1) Quantitative Collection and analysis of historical data on mobile banking as well as data collected from various sources, both primary and secondary. This would also include customer questionnaires and online surveys Exhaustive and wide reaching surveys will be conducted to gather a approximate and accurate idea 2) Qualitative Gathering various in-depth information about customer usage patterns, ideologies and needs by conduction focus groups, surveys and from secondary data sources Descriptive data techniques would be used such as word connections, finish the sentences etc to get information.

Sampling Plan
Convenience Sampling Since we are trying to get as many opinions as possible from a varied customer base, random and convenient sampling plan is most appropriate since we do not have defined categories of users.

Methods of Data Analysis


1) Trend Analysis Based on past years data, we can map the growth trajectory and patterns of mobile banking in various cities, segment of people, time of the year etc. 2) Correlation Analysis We can analyze the relation between concerns in rural areas and concerns in urban areas We can analyze relations between city and usage using ANOVA table
