Is a natural Science that is the study of the Celestial Objects such as, Moons, Planets, Stars, Nebulae and Galaxies
SOLAR SYSTEM
THE SUN
The Sun is the star at the centre of the Solar System. It s the heaviest among solar system It is a ball of hot burning gases. The light from the Sun takes appx. 8 minutes to reach Earth.
Mercury
Mercury is the innermost and smallest planet in the solar system . Mercury is .4 AU from the sun and is the closest planet to the sun.
It's temperatures range from 427degrees Celsius during the days and drop to 179degrees Celsius at night because the atmosphere is to thin to retain the heat at night. Mercury is made up of an iron core and mantle but haven't been explained. The only known geological features of mercury are impact craters and lobed ridges or rupes.
Venus
Venus is the second planet from the Sun. Venus is known as the greenhouse planet because it is made up of all gasses and is also the hottest planet, reaching temperatures over 400 degrees Celsius caused by all the gasses in the atmosphere.
The fourth smallest planet in the solar system. There is no water on Venus, so it is very dry, and the atmosphere is 90 times as dense as earth. After the Moon, it is the brightest natural object in the night sky
Earth
Earth (or the Earth) is the third planet from the Sun with an orbital period of 365.26 days, and the densest and fifth-largest of the eight planets in the Solar System. It is sometimes referred to as the World, the Blue Planet,
Surrounded
by an atmosphere composed primarily of nitrogen and oxygen. And it is the only planet in the universe known to support life.
Mars
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in the Solar System. The third smallest planet in the solar system Olympus Mons, the highest known mountain within the Solar System
It's temperature ranges from -87 - -5 degrees Celsius. It's atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide. The surface is covered in volcanoes and rift valleys. It's red color comes from the iron oxide or rust found in it's soil. It has 2 moons Deilmus and Phobos.
Jupiter
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest planet within the Solar System. It is a gas giant with a mass slightly less than one-thousandth of the Sun but is two and a half times the mass of all the other planets in our Solar System combined
Saturn
Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System. Saturn has nine rings, consisting mostly of ice particles with a smaller amount of rocky debris and dust.
Its atmosphere is made hydrogen and helium making it the least dense planet. Its temperature is usually around -178 degrees Celsius. Saturn is known for its rings. They are made of ice and rock particles. It has 53 moons.
Uranus
Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun, and the third-largest and fourth most massive planet in the Solar System. Uranus has a ring system, a magnetosphere, and numerous moons.
Its temperature is -216 degrees Celsius and is known as the Ice Giant because it barely radiate any heat. it is made of hydrogen, helium and methane gas where it gets it blue tint from. It has 2 set of rings and 27 moons
Neptune
Neptune is the eighth and farthest planet from the Sun in our Solar System. Its temperature is 214 degrees Celsius Known to have supersonic winds It has 13 moons
DWARF PLANETS
Is classified as a celestial body in direct orbit of the Sun that is massive enough that its shape is controlled by gravitational forces, but has not cleared the neighboring region of other object. There are 5 Planets classified as dwarf planets but only 2 have been observed enough
All 5 are Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake, and Eris. Only Ceres and Pluto are actual Dwarf Planets
Ceres
Ceres, minor-planet designation, Is the largest asteroid It is a rockice body 950 km (590 mi) in diameter and the smallest identified dwarf planet. It contains about one-third of the mass of the asteroid belt.
Pluto
Is the second-largest known dwarf planet in the Solar System (after Eris) and the tenth-largest body observed directly orbiting the Sun. Originally classified as a planet
