Using SPORTS Strategy

• To use the SPORTS strategy to fill
in the blanks in a cloze passage.

• To identify clues in a cloze passage

and fill in each blank with the most
suitable word.
Note :
• Read passage at least twice
before starting.
• Each blank is to be filled in with
only one word.
• Answers must be correctly spelt
and be grammatically correct.

 Roald Dahl’s ‘Danny the Champion of the World’

appeals to readers, both young and old. Although it is
