DEFINITON OF PROCEDURE TEXT


Procedure text is a kind of text which describe the way to do, or to make something, it is a kind of tutorial.

PURPOSE OF PROCEDURE TEXT


Purpose of Procedure Text is to help us or make something. They can be a set of instructions or directions.

GENERIC STRUCTURE
Generic Structure of Procedure Text consist of three part: 1. Aim/ Goal Information about purpose in making or operete something

2. Materials Materials explain about ingredients, utensils, equipment to do the instructions. But not all the procedure text enclose materials part, sometimes the procedure text does not have a materials part. There are three kinds that not use materials part:

Procedural text that explain about how to do instructions in manual. Example: How to use the video game, the computer, the tape recorder, the fax etc. Procedural text that explain about instruction how to do certain activities with rules. Example: raod safety rules, video game rules etc. Procedural text that relating with characteristic or human habits. Example: How to live happily, How to succes etc.

3. Steps A set of instruction to achieve the final purpose. The step or sequence must be order from the first to the last.

LANGUANGE FEATURES
There are several characteristic of languange in the procedure text: 1. Use of imperative example: Cut, Dont, mix 2. Use of action verbs example: turn, put, mix

3. Use of connectives to arrange step example: first, then, while, finally 4. Use of adverbial phrases to declare time, place example: for five minutes, 2 hours, 4 centimeter from the top

How to make a cheese omelet Aim/ Goal How to Make a Cheese Omelet Materials Ingredients: 1 egg, 50 g cheese, cup milk, 3 tablespoons cooking, oil, a pinch of salt and pepper. Utensils: Frying pan, fork, spatula, cheese grater, bowl, plate.

Steps First crack an egg into a bowl. Then whisk the egg with a fork until it is smooth. After that add milk and whisk well. Grate the cheese into the bowl and stir. Now, heat the oil in a frying pan. Then turn the omelet with a spatula when it browns. See like this. Okay, next cook both sides. After the omelet is done, place it on a plate, dont forget to season it with salt and pepper. Well, you can eat it warm.

How to operate a computer steps First plug of powering up the computer system, make sure that the power cable connected to the back panel of the CPU and is plugged into the electric socket. then make sure the video cable is already connected to the video card correctly into the back of the panel. after that make sure both devices are the mouse and keyboard are mounted on the rear panel to the right.

Now, when everything is plugged in securely, then press the power button on the CPU is usually located on the front panel of the CPU. The computer will display the Windows logo and displays the desktop image Finally the way to shut down or turn off the computer system is by clicking on the Start button and choosing the Turn Off.
