The Best Possible Vacation

2) The Blond Guitar My most valuable possession is an old, slightly warped blond guitar-the first instrument I taught myself how to play. It's nothing fancy, just a Madeira folk guitar, all scuffed and scratched and finger-printed. At the top is a bramble of copperwound strings, each one hooked through the eye of a silver tuning key.

The strings are stretched down a long, slim neck, its frets tarnished, the wood worn by years of fingers pressing chords and picking notes. The body of the Madeira is shaped like an enormous yellow pear, one that was slightly damaged in shipping. The blond wood has been chipped and gouged to gray, particularly where the pick guard fell off years ago.

No, it's not a beautiful instrument, but it still lets me make music, and for that I will always treasure it.

Joke: A Sardarji once went to America. He toured the entire united states and before returning he visited Washington D.C to hear John F. Kennedy's speech. During his speech Kennedy told the crowd that he had slept with only one other woman than his wife and challenged the crowd to guess who she was. When the crowd gave up he promptly told that it was his mother.

The crowd went wild and the surdar was very impressed. When he came back a party was thrown in honor of him and he was asked to give a speech. He remembered kennedy's speech and he told the crowd that he had slept with only one woman other than his wife and challenged the people to guess who the person was. When the crowd gave up the surdar said, Kennedy's mother.
