A group of ten seventh/eighth grade girl students of Birendra Sainik
Awasiya Mahavidyalaya formed a Students’ Quality Circle in
August, 2008 at the Mahavidyalaya with the inspiration of
Mr. Arjun B. K. and Mr. B.R. Banjade . Named as SENTINEL to
guard ever rising fame of the Mahavidyalaya and light on a torch to
guard and guide to build up self-esteem, the project we took was
“how to make the students aware about getting the ‘Students’ Code
of Conduct’ prescribed by the Mahavidyalaya by heart”. We
observed our major problems at the Mahavidyalaya and after
conducting brainstorming and applying various Quality Circle
tools we identified the problem of ‘Disobedience of ‘Students’
Code of Conduct’ as our main concern. We went through the
quality circle problems solving process step-by-step to solve this
problem. Following presentation slides explain our procedure of
the problem solving exercise we carried out on “Students’ Quality
Circle.”

Problem Definition
‘Code of conduct’ is a set of moral principles or rules of
behaviour that are generally accepted by a social group.
It is a system of laws or written rules that state how
people in an institution should behave.

The word disobedience itself has negative meaning. It’s

failure or refusal to obey. It’s a refusal or rejection
knowingly or unknowingly or purposively.

Disobedience of ‘Students’ Code of Conduct’ is the

result of negligence/carelessness by students
themselves which brings adverse impact on the sound
disciplinary environment of the institution and harms
the stature of the students.

It also encourages /leads to run out of track. It can be a

serious problem in the society as people may become
