EXPECTATIONS
1. Be to meetings and practice on time! If you are going to be late, know or let one of the other coaches know..
2. Bring paper and pencil to every meeting, I expect you to know your assignments. 3. Be the hardest working group on this team. Dont let anybody out work you. If someone sprints 40 yards, you sprint 100. Do everything full speed and then some. 4. Be the hardest working group in the MSC! Be the best group in the MSC! Always aspire to be better than you are. 5. Expect not to be brought down by one tackler. Expect to score every time you touch the ball. 6. Ball Security- Expect to hold on tightly to the ball and NEVER let it go. 7. Expect to have pride in what you are doing. Have some pride in your team, in your offensive unit, in your position, and in yourself. 8. Respect is earned, not given. We must earn the respect of our teammates. Respect is earned through hard work. 9. Dominate the competition every time you take the field. Expect to defeat your opponent, but at the same time do it with class. 10. Why No Huddle?
1. Allows us to come from behind a) We have more opportunities to score b) Defenses are more likely to wear out in second half c) 2 Minute Pace is our normal pace 2. Forces opposing defenses to be more basic a) Less time for the coach to make perfect call b) We snap the ball too fast for pre snap adjustments c) Less Substitutions for the Defense 3. More Reps in Practice a) The faster our team period goes the more reps we get b) Young players can develop faster because they get more reps in practice c) Starters are more efficient running the offense because of more practice reps d) Team is in better shape because of up tempo practice e) Practice prepares our defense for other no huddle teams

Stance
2 point Stance
Feet should be shoulder width apart and toe-toe position Bent knees, bent upper body (slight bend in hips not back), rest hands on thighs or knees Weight on balls of feet (with more weight on drive foot to avoid false step)
Hand-Offs
The player makes a "pocket" with the arms to receive the ball: Top Half of the "Pocket
Inside Elbow - even with the shoulders. Forearm - horizontal with the ground. Inside Hand - palm down, ready to accept the point of the ball.
Hand-Offs
Bottom Half of the "Pocket
Outside Elbow - straight down from the shoulder. Forearm - horizontal across the midsection. Outside Hand - slightly bent with the palm up, ready to accept the other end of the ball. Fingers - pointing toward the quarterback.

If the ball is below chest, pinkies together. If the ball is above chest, thumbs and index fingers together. If the ball is over shoulder, pinkies together with hands under the ball. Dont let the ball get to body/shoulder pads CATCH WITH HANDS.

Mesh
The mesh is the point where the quarterback has his arms outstretched with the ball placed in the running back's midsection. The back aligns 1.5 to 2 yards behind the QB, straddling the outside leg of the guard. He must make a deep pocket, with the top palm up. The back must feel the QB read, and not snatch at the football. Be a BLOCKER not a faker.
