Generating the Front, Top, and Left Views


The Front, Top and Left tool is used to generate the front, top and left views at a time

Generating the Advanced Front View


The Advanced Front View tool is used to generate the front view. The only difference between this tool and the Front View tool is that in this tool, you can specify the name and the scale of the front view while generating it.

Generating Projection Views


The Projection View tool is used to generate the Projection-Views which are generated by projecting lines horizontally or vertically from an existing view

The Auxiliary View tool is used to generate an auxiliary view by projecting lines normal to the specified edge of an existing view.

Generating Isometric Views


The Isometric View tool is used to generate an isometric view of the model

Generating Offset Section Views


Offset Section View tool is used to generate section views by chopping a portion of the existing view using a cutting plane defined by sketched lines and then viewing the parent view in a direction normal to the cutting plane.

Generating Aligned Section Views


The Aligned Section View tool is used to generate a section view of the component, in which at least one of the feature as at an angle.

TUTORIAL 1
In this tutorial, you will generate the drawing views of the model of the Motor Cover created in tutorial 2 of chapter 8, refer to Figure A.

The following steps are required to complete this tutorial:


1. Copy the part document of Tutorial 2 of Chapter 8 to the folder of the current chapter. 2. Start a new file in the Drafting workbench with the standard A4 sheet size.

3. Set the projection standard to third angle.


4. Generate the front view, refer to Figure B.

5. Generate the top view by using the Projection View tool, refer to Figure C.
