intervention
The interventions are aimed at helping individuals develop skills, members of groups assess their interactions and device more effective ways of working.

It focuses on skills, knowledge and capabilities of an organization member.

coaching
Employees need to develop trusting and supporting relationships with their managers , who can set challenging work goals, provide support to achieve them, help analyze barriers to higher performance and plan goals for the future. This process is known as coaching.

It involves working with individuals on regular basis to help them clarify goals, deal with potential stumbling blocks.

Gain perspective on their dilemma. Transfer their learning into organizational results. Increase their leadership skills. Improves personal productivity. Help them see new opportunities and threats. Use of applied behavioral science.

Communication: asking questions, providing feedback and responding and listening. Empowerment: enabling others to exercise their autonomy, providing positive reinforcement so that desirable behavior is strengthened . Helping: concern and empathy for individuals.

Phases of coaching

Rapport building
To establish a climate of acceptance, support, openness and mutuality. 1. attending: attend to the individuals and show concern. It should be totally private. 2. listening: active listening is the key. Lean forward and maintain eye contact. 3. accepting: they must feel that they are wanted and are accepted by the organization. Difference of opinion is accepted. The individual must feel that they well understood

exploring
In this phase the ODP helps individual understand themselves and their performance problems. A kind of SWOT analysis. Investigating- surface their specific concern, open questions and open discussion. Identifying the problem- questions to focus on specific problem, generate information, discover the behavior I problem situation. Diagnosing- exploratory questions, generating several possible causes.

Action planning
Searching: help them think of the possible solution to problems confronting them. Decision making: question about feasibility, priority, pros & cons, help assessing their advantages, choosing solution and establishing contingency plan. Supporting: help implement the plan, monitoring and follow up.

drawbacks
It becomes difficult to understand behavior at times. Become deeply personal Working far away from practical application of behavioral principles. Too close to therapy.
