Debates
Pro and Cons in Environmental Issues Involving Two groups. Each group must prepare argumentations for pro (supporting) or con (opposing). The other ten groups will act as the jury

Debating Program
Each group should appoint the speaker of the group and a secretary Each group will present their group argumentation in turn (power point) When one group is presenting their argumentation, the other group should decide what the point(s) to counter (silently written communication given to the speaker of the group) attack the problem, not the person

There will be a moderator for the debate that will be appointed before hand After 2 rounds, the audience will have time to ask questions. At the end, audience should decide which group can present more convincing/better arguments votes

Pro and Con Presentation- Argumentation Round I (@ 7 minutes, max)

Pro and Con Presentation- defending or attacking- Round II (@ 4 minutes, max)


Question and Comments from the Audience about the Issue (10 minutes, max) Closing Argumentation from each Group (@1-2 min)

The controversy of Using Bio-fuels for Replacing the Fossil Fuels
Kelapa Sawit Oil has been promoted to be used as biofuels (which is environmentally friendly), replacing the fossil fuels (petroleum). In order to make the fuel, some of the forest trees must be cut and be replaced with Kelapa Sawit. A big corporation would like to develop Kepala Sawit Oil. A proposal has been submitted and the decision should be made. Should the proposal be accepted or rejected?

The Controversial Issue of Garbage Power Generation (PLTSa) in Bandung
Garbage in one of the biggest problem in Bandung. The presence of PLTSa is believed to reduce the amount of garbage in Bandung. On the contrary, some believe that the processing of various kinds of garbage may create environmental problem. Will you support PLTSa?
