About APL
The company was formed in 1938, prior to that it was known as
Dollar Steamship Company.
The company had merged with Neptune Orient Lines, a Singapore
based shipping company in 1997, making it a fully owned subsidiary
of NOL.
APL operates a containership fleet worldwide with 153 container
vessels.
It is the seventh largest container transportation and shipping
company, providing more than 80 weekly services.
It has been part of India's business scene since 1910, when it
launched its first service from India to the US.
It currently serves 25000 locations in 140 countries.
