Each paragraph:

Offer evidence and discuss

Your writing should answer:
What is this paragraph about?
What exactly is that?
What is your argument on this (in relation to the question)? What is your evidence?
What does it mean? What is the final point (in relation to the question)?

3. Conclusion
Re-state arguments
Re-state points
Show that you have answered the whole question
Could make recommendation

Introduction:

Main body:
80% of length



Conclusion:
15% of length

BODY OR SUPPORT PARAGRAPHS?
Write Topic Sentence
A topic sentence in a body or support
paragraph should:
Clearly state the topic of the paragraph.
Clearly link the topic of the paragraph
back to the thesis statement.
Make a smooth transition between the
previous paragraph and the present
paragraph.
Generally the topic sentence comes at
the beginning of each body paragraph.
Discussion and explanation are
crucial to a well-developed body
paragraph.
Use link words and phrases

Concrete Examples, Statistics, or Facts
Good writers always include concrete evidence

in a paragraph, and a concluding
statement that restates the topic
or point of the paragraph keeps
the reader focused on your
argument or discussion.
