Ching was a traveler.
He loved travelling
around the world.
He hoped he could find
what he was looking for.
Except, that he did not
know what he was
looking for!
He emailed his pen-
pal, Arjun who lived
in India. Could you
help me find what
I am looking for? he
asked.

Arjun set out to find
out what Ching was looking
for as soon as he
could. Except that he didnt
know what Ching was looking
for.
What could Ching be looking for? wondered
Arjun. And where could it be? Perhaps,
Ill look in my secret places.

Arjun looked in Dadajis big steel trunk that he
was told never-to-touch.
He looked into the
special hidey-holes
that Timmy his dog
had dug in the garden.

Timmy watched from the
shadows and gave a
never-go-there bark.
Arjun asked Dadiji, sadly.
What would happen if Ching
could never-find-what-he-
was-looking for? He may
never find his way
back home.
Dadiji continued rocking on her swing on the verendah
and smiled, Dont worry beta. Im sure Ching will find
what he is looking for. All he needs to do is visit you.
Arjun received a video
message from Ching. It
looked like he was in the
Rajasthan deserts.
Hello Arjun, I am
going to visit you soon.
I hope I find what I
am looking for.
On the morning of Chings arrival,
Arjun gathered up some vegetables
from the garden and took them to
Dadiji to cook. Fresh vegetables!
I will cook up some yummy
sambhar for Ching.
Arjun was so happy. He was
really looking forward to
Chings visit.
When Ching arrived at Arjuns
House, the two friends hugged.
Ching told Arjun all about his
adventures of how he ran
around the world in a
marathon
and how he
played with the moon and
the stars.
But, did you find what you
were looking for, Ching?
asked Arjun urgently. I
looked high and low but
couldnt find what you were
looking for.
Oh Arjun, I did do a lot of
thinking!
I thought when I thought,
I thought when I bumped my
head and
I thought when I played
with my baby brother Chang
too.

But half way through my travels I knew I
found what I was looking for It was
A-friend-like-you!
